Shoo...talk about an entry back into the grand stage and what a dish used as a grand steed for that succulent grand entrance. Sol couldn't be more apt in her choice of dish, this is a working mans dish. I remember my gran making this and to date, remnants from this dish are destronstructed into a kicheree and tomatoe chutney and various other comparable examples. This is damn tasty dish..sometimes one cannot over express on a dish but honour it in all its simplicity. Ofcourse...once thats said, a swipe of monkey nut chutney, a splash of crushed chilli pickle etc and voila...a different and magical taste explosion. Sol...such a classic dish, tons of beautiful memories and for some odd reason, spicy fried potatoes keeps popping up as a side to this dish..great clip as usual, outstanding work !!
