I saw this message just moments after it was posted. It just might be the most important message I’ve ever heard. I accepted Jesus decades ago. I love Him, the Father, and THE Holy Spirt. But, Pastor Allen, you taught me things today I’ve never heard before. You taught clearly and precisely. I feel a joy and relief I’ve never felt before. The lesson on Greek is profound! I frequently listen to your teaching. I’ve heard your spiritual gifts lessons. But that difference with the definite article I must have missed. I will listen to that series and this teaching again in the next few days. All around me are cessationists teachers. You have provided the keys to understanding that. Thank you. Thank You, Father, for this man You sent to teach us…to teach me.
Well U are very humble and obviously have a teachable spirit. Tell me though, do you believe that the blood or Jesus had to go to hell paid the full price for you??
The Holy Spirit baptism is how the believer recieves the Holy Spirit. The only scriptural evidence of that occurring the moment the believers recieved is the speaking in " tongues"( Acts ch.2,10,and ch. 19).
I always enjoy your messages and your insight Pastor Allen. Seems like you contradicted yourself though when you said 99% of the Bible is understandable in English, but there’s that one percent that doesn’t really make sense unless you understand the original Greek and Hebrew. Shortly after that, you mentioned that most of the English translations from Greek are incorrect. I’m kind of confused at one percent or is it most. I have to say you are truly a blessing to me personally thank you for the time you take put your messages online one day they’ll be a great reward for your diligence thank you. GB.

So, does that mean if I die I’ll go to Hell for all eternity because I wasn’t baptized in and received the Holy Spirit? 😢 if so, then what’s the point of me trying to live a perfect life every day like Jesus said to do. I am very disheartened and confused about this. And what about the thief on the cross? He wasn’t even baptized with water.

This is a quickening of the mind, but it still isn't the birth of that fullness of Christ in you. The birth of Jesus in you results in Jesus with you. For example, he can speak in your ear. This is the breath of God, lower than a whisper--the still small voice. The preparation (מערה) of the heart was the first quickening. The beginning of the response of God (יענה) is a quickening of the whole. Jesus was teaching these wonders in John. Christ with you can result in things like passing out of prison...or outrunning a horse...or translation to another place and rarely to another time. When Peter's "shadow" healed a sick man, that was probably the Christ in him. The gifts of the spirit can be given to anyone, even the newest Christian. God knows us and sees what we will later be. Sometimes it is the beginner who has a vision meant to help you. These gifts are manifested during a service or meeting so that others can discern the authenticity.
My only issue with “ speaking in tongues” is if the person speaking in tongues doesn’t know what they themselves are saying and the congregation doesn’t know what they are saying, then how is that edifying? It’s just gibberish that provides no one with spiritual growth.
Praying in toungs is for unbelievers coming in ,then you or someone who interprets says it in the English, I once gave a tongue, and someone who was Welsh said I spoke in a welsh dialect. he was from Wales.

I have been torn on this subject for decades, knowing that something wasn’t jiving, yet could never reconcile the very passages you used. I actually landed on the correct message, but it bothered me that the passages seemed to contradict my understanding. Thank you so much for delivering this message and giving me my firm foundation back. I am confident in my relationship with Jesus and now understand the gift of the Spirit and the gifts OF the Spirit.
Seek and he shall find. The bible says we should seek wisdom. At 46 min pastor talks about the most important thing. Growing in the Lord. When we seek Jesus the Holy Spirit fervently, we will find Him. And when we find Him, the Holy Spirit will teach you and lead you to all truths. So He is wisdom. Seek Him!
