  • Join us for our Erev Shabbat service We will be going through the weekly teachings from Monte Judah. This portion, entitled "Bo," meaning "go" or "enter," tells how God told Moses to "go" to Pharaoh and announce the final three judgments: Locusts, Darkness, and Death of the Firstborn. Each time, Pharaoh told Israel they could "go," first without their children, then without their flocks, then for them to "go" and not be seen by him again. Finally, all of Egypt tells Israel to "go" after the death of the firstborn. The Israelites are instructed to bring a "Passover offering" to God: a lamb or kid is to be slaughtered and the blood sprinkled on the doorposts and lintel of every Israelite home, so that the angel of death would pass over them to keep their children safe. After the death of Egypt's firstborn, Pharaoh drives the Israelites out of his land. They leave in haste, creating the matzah bread and asking their Egyptian neighbors for gold, silver, and garments, fulfilling the promise made to Abraham that his descendants would leave Egypt with great wealth. This Torah portion includes instructions for the Passover Seder, which commemorates the Exodus each year and tells the story of their redemption through the generations.

    THANK you Brother Monte for this session. i've no fellowship & am hated by everyone. i don't feel alone because MASHIACH YESHUA CHRIST JESUS is here with me. am closer to 80 then 70 in age & so very GRATEFUL for your teachings. all my family is gone except for my adult children, grandchildren & great grandchildren & only my 2 adult grandsons care about me & listen to & respect what i say & respectfully see how i live so they ignore what their mother, my eldest 58 yrs old today & she cursed me after i wished her a blessed day. my walk through the fire is difficult but YESHUA carries me 99% of the time as the 1% i do am mocked & scorned but i've learned to reply with, "it's ok, YESHUA LOVES you & so do i."

      You have family. I’m your family. Many of mine rejected me too after I began acknowledging the Sabbath. I went to the Seventh Day Adventists, but in some ways I am different to some of them too. I know I have brothers and sisters though, even if I haven’t met them yet. In the day we meet, it’ll be like we always knew each other.

    Thank you so much, Monty. I am not Jewish, but I am not a gentile either. ‘Gentile’ means ‘unbeliever’ to the Hebrew - to my understanding. Many Jewish people and even who are Messianic to not consider we who aren’t Jews as equal in value. I know you yourself are Jewish, and so to hear that you consider us equal in value is a very strong and a healing thing to say. Thank you for teaching the good news!

    There are many who are like you, who are throughout the world. I could put myself into it as well, as I too have no Messianic congregation which is local to be a part of. This is one reason why Monte has this platform, for those who live in remote locations, but keep in mind, there are those who actually enjoy this platform better than being in a local congregation.

    I've been teaching all this for over 50 years but none of the churches I've been part of have accepted the teaching! The Lord gave it to me by revelation. I always felt uneasy about partaking in the communion service so I rarely did it (I would never go against my conscience but couldn't understand why). Taking communion felt like I was being sinful! Then the Lord showed me about His feasts in Lev. 23 and I read about the Passover Seder. The Feasts are to be kept in perpetuity. So for years I have bought Matzah suitable for Pesach and kosher red wine and have followed the Haggadah. I've always had perfect peace about doing this. I keep Shabbat too and have been telling Christians why they should do this. None of them have listened and I have been called a heretic and a Judaizer and asked to leave many churches. The Lord called me out of these Sunday churches about 20 years ago. I just allow the Lord to teach me now and have done for years. I just want to be obedient to the Lord and to His Torah. I'm not concerned about what Christians think of me. They can keep their man-made traditions and doctrines of demons. I'm a member of the Commonwealth of Israel, a "called out" one, amen. Shabbat Shalom.

It's always a blessing to hear I'm not alone, as there are others such as yourself ! Thank you for taking the time to write and share.

    I dont have a congregation. The catholic church observes Easter. Passover seems frowned upon, or when i approached my penetecostal friends, they dont observe, and i felt if i was doing something wrong? The christian church makes a big deal of Easter, and Christmas. I in hindsight, brought up too, with those traditions. wasnt given this neither from the christian church. Constantine certainly made his mark, breaking Israeli and the church. All i can use is an online virtual passover in April at night. My first year my heart moved to observe passover, a few years ago. I misunderstood, and made a mistake and bought a lamb from the butchers and ate, me and my male son, uncircumcised, and outside Israel. I mishandled passover, i felt own my own, and most christian churches in Scotland dont promote them, you have to seek. I wouldn't be doing that mistake again of buying a lamb, so the following year, i made unleavened bread and purchased communion wine, and had that at home with my son. I believe in jesus, jesus is the lamb, to take us from death to life into his kingdom. Jesus has circumcised my heart, and believe in him. So this year all i can do is use virtual passover online, and buy what i need for passover. I want to ask. See the week of unleavened bread, does it mean as far is just unleavened bread? Last year, i tried, using a kosher app to avoid yeast. You CANT . Yeast is on our bodies. As far as i can manage is cutting out, bread, rolls and biscuits without yeast. As for other food with yeast, i can't help that.

    I want to confess, amd repent that i mishandled one passover by eating lamb. I just that that was what your were to do on passover. Buti understand, thats why jesus said, the bread was his body, and blood of the new covenant for us all (nations). I understand that now.

    Toda Rabbi, i just wanted to ask whether we can go to Sunday church when we are keeping Saturday shabbat?

    • @Old-Path
      @Old-Path 7 дней назад

      Its allowed. You will be at odds with the people there and it will grow over time. If you want to progress in keeping the faith it is best to leave the system that is trying to keep you away from keeping the commandments. For instance, if i was an addict, i would avoid hanging out with my druggie friends. This would be to stay away from their thoughts and practices, which influence you.
      I think you were asking Monte specifically. He wont answer unless you submit a question on "Real questions, real answers". He did recently attend a sunday church service when visiting family, but didnt participate in communion while there. So that should give you an indication of his thoughts.

    • @HerbertPrince
      @HerbertPrince 7 дней назад +2

      I'm not Monte, and not a rabbi. But the question you ask, 'Yes', you can go to a Sunday church, as you may be led there to share with others who may be interested in knowing the truth.
      The 4th Commandment is, to remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy (set aside from the other 6 days). It doesn't mean to forget about God on the other 6 days. Just remember to stand your ground, and not let others mislead you. Sabbath was created by God during Creation, so if others tell you that you are to observe Sunday, you are supposed to explain to them about Sabbath and that God commanded us to remember it and keep it set apart from the other six days. And don't let them tell you it's okay to eat whatever you want to, such as pork, shellfish and roaches. There are actually people in the world who eat roaches, snakes and everything which is unclean.
      Shabbat Shalom 🖖

    • @HerbertPrince
      @HerbertPrince 6 дней назад +1

      @gracechin2946
      Honestly, this is why I no longer attend other churches. If you continue going to a specific church and don't put something in the collection plate or bag, they will come to you and explain why it's important to give.
      I don't understand your question about the bread and wine. When I was in the many Christian churches, they would usually hold communion services a few times during the year, BUT a person had to be a member of the church in order to participate. For me, it was too many inaccurate church doctrines and beliefs to have to address when in a crowd who believed as they did. God would sometimes put different people from different churches, in my path, such as in the grocery store or at some other place, so I could share one on one with them. I, as a Messianic believer in Yeshua, bless the wine and bread each week during Kiddish, at the start of the Sabbath, plus say blessings in Hebrew and English, as I do the best that I can when speaking in Hebrew.
