I like the detail with Mismagius being Gengar's wife because it's a reference to how both Pokémon are able to breed with each other in the games from Generation IV-VII.
I actually did some research, and Gengar, Kirlia, and Mismagius all belong in the amorphous egg group, so their family relation makes sense.
Kirlia being a niece is due to being apart of two egg groups (amorphous and human-like)

Which is another plot hole. I guess you can say the original season is either not canon, or season 3 is also out of touch with season 1.
Season 1 and 3 both takes place in different timelines.

Well holy crap, two for the price of one! Surprised the votes for Dedede were so many, but I'm glad he came back AND we got Eggman as a bonus. However, as is the law of equivalent exchange, something of equal value must be given in exchange, and we say farewell to both Luigi and Fox. But hey, they played a great game and made it pretty far. But now that we've got more villains than anyone good, who knows how this is gonna turn out? Something tells me Eggman and/or Dedede won't be lasting very long, but let's hope one of these guys can take down Sandile. Great work Matt!

Yeah, two of my three guys got in, Dedede and Dr. E. Also it was kinda sad to see Luigi and Fox leave, maybe it was the music you chose. Some other characters I would’ve liked to see are Louie, Driftloon, and Poochyena. The characters that I didn’t want to have back in the game are Jigglypuff, Mario, Squirtle, Shaymin, and Yoshi (because he didn’t get out unfairly). I want that song that Mario was thinking as my ringtone, or at least an alarm.
