Hi from Greece 🇬🇷 Take care dude, i used to watch your videos in early 2021's when i first bought my *used* Yaris 2013 D4D and instantly subbed to you. I m happy you made this update and you're fine and i am going to watch this. I bought my car while it had 160.000 km and now it has 182.000 km. My only concern lately is that the active DPF regenerations take place quite very often, like every 120 km... even if i don't do short trips. Maybe it has to do with the EGR or maybe the DPF needs external cleaning?? Anyway i always use the right oil (5w30 C2) and my fuel consumption is normal and everything else works like a charm. Any help from the viewers or you would be really important to me.... May i ask you and the viewers something more? My 1st gear never engages unless i am almost stopped. Does this happen to you to? So... 1) DPF/EGR advices 2) 1st gear engagement
How are your problems going? Did you find a solution? Update on any other problems? I want to buy an IQ with same engine but I'm afraid of diesel engine problems
Good morning Mr. Olsson!! I think is a beautiful car, very efficient as a daily driver, specially now how high gas prices are, we’ll at least here in the States!! Hello from Florida!! Have a great day my friend!! We travel a lot with a diesel truck..
275k km with yaris 1.4 diesel from 2006 This small car change my opinion about toyota, it is a real tank!! This year i did 20k km and i just change filters and oil Absolutely no other problems My next car for sure will be a Toyota again.
Hi again dude! I would personally love and to see a new video of the car as you have it on idle (i.e. cold starting idling) and let us see and listen the engine under the hood (with hood open). So that's my proposal for next video if you can... 🙏
I have no idea why you want to hear the diesel sound from an 1.4l engine. For me that is one of the worst parts of the car. haha. But If I have time and I have the camera with me I could do that. its pretty easy to do. We have bellow 0c so it will be a real cold start with lots of knocking.
I wanna buy a Toyota IQ with this same engine but my concern is about all problems I can have with diesel engine. DPF and other complications. My main use will be city driving. I perfer the 1 liter VVT petrol engine for city driving mainly because simplicity of the engine and less possible problems. Do you agree?
Its hard to say for me. My car have had 0 engine problems over the years. 70% short trips and lots of cold driving. I havent owned the 1.0l petrol engine or had a friend that owned one over long time. What I know is that the 1.0 engine feels Slow and loud in City driving. On the highway it has problem to keep the speed in the hills around here. For me I would buy the Diesel engine 100%. But your case can be different then mine. Test drive both and if you can live with the slow and loud petrol go for it. If the diesel goes wrong it will be expensive compared to a petrol.
