I definitely hear what you were talking about with Solid and Vivid. I agree that this makes her sound beautifully human but with her natural, synthetic charm. I personally prefer having at least two versions of a vocal to work with, especially two tones

I unfortunately don't own any Miku voicebanks outside of sharing NT with my friend due to how expensive they are and I'm too scared to pirate the software outside of V1/V2.

@@mckatherine Ah, it's just that V4 has been apparently sold again recently and I can't really find official sales for V2 outside of some voicebanks 😅 The only part of V4 I have pirated on my PC is Piapro Studio for V4 My V4 covers published used the official demo editor though.

Also, if you go to the vocaloid website the only option you have to purchase is Vocaloid 5 and I couldn't find another option for buying vocaloid4, which is also equally unfair because to be honnest it's like forcing you to buy the worst and most expensive version of the program that doesn't work with the majority of voicebanks. It also became a mess to actually buy cryptonloids for vocaloid and not piapro and the prices for the others have become higher so I don't know why some people get mad exactly as they did back in 2010 about pirating vocaloid :/

Well... beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. Miku has been my favorite VOCALOID for over a decade because of a certain gravitas I always feel in her voice that combined with her cuteness gives her a unique 'personality' I don't get from anyone else and that suits her position as face of this entire scene wonderfully. Plus 'realistic' doesn't necessarily mean 'ideal', or even 'good' at all. That said, your tuning is absolutely fantastic. I just listened to your beautiful Kokoro cover with miki and I'm sad it took me this long to discover your channel.

What I meant with "realistic" was "interesting" or "unique". Please don't get me wrong, I actually think Miku's V2 vb is the second best one after those appends, it doesn't sound so human-like but its tone is pretty interesting! I'm not really a hater of her original voice, I think my problem has to do with how she usually sounds in most songs, and it's worse now that people use more her V3 and V4 voicebanks which are really dull-sounding (I think those were the ones that made me feel disappointed about her). I totally respect it if she's your favourite vocaloid. In my personal opinion, I find the appends much more interesting, but I also like her V2!

I love the tuning! Q has recently become one of my favorite songs and when I clicked on this I expected Miku to be choppy and raspy, but I think this is some of the best tuning I've heard for this voicebank! She sounds so mature!
