Hello, i try to do the same, it works. But can't render anything with redshift. I follow ur instruction for the redshift tag but nothing appear in the RenderView or IPR or in the render... Do you have a solution ? I have Redshift 3.X and Xparticles 2.1 Thx for the tutorial by the way !
Thanks !! But you have used source as emit from texture, if we use default emitter, ramp in redshift material does not work or won't produce gradient colors. Any help on that ?
@@wiIliammendoza Ty that helped but in my version I found it somewhere else. Now I can't find the 'mapping' and 'colour brightness'... what a crazy thing!
I'm only trying to add random colors to a simple particle setup without the extra stuff you added. But it doesnt seem to work. It just picks 1 color of the gradient and all particles get that color.
Thank you very much for this great tutorial!! It´s easy to follow, and i like your relaxed way to present it. Also big thanks for (almost) avoiding nervous mouse movings during the explanation, that makes me nervous in other tuts´:-) ...so where can i get more from you to explain x-particles?
Great tutorial. One question: For some reason in my project the RS particle material applies the color that is selected in the xpEmitter > Display > Particles > Particle Display > Particle Color, rather than the colors used in the Rs Ramp I've created in the shader graph. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
Not sure if any of you are following this still, but I found out that, to use a custom parameter (age, speed, etc) on Redshift from Xparticles, you use the node RS Scalar User Data, instead of user data. That way you can use the Redshift ramp inside the shader, and not xparticles (being able to cache, etc)
Way late on asking questions about this but... When I use a simple plane, I get the different colored particles to emit from the texture. When I use a plane that has a simple cut out, all the particles will only emit white. Thoughts on why that is happening?
Hey, I have a technical issue about the birthrate. I couldn't increase the birthrate from 10.000 to 100.000, although I've applied all the steps exactly. What should I do or change rn?
You are Mr Sniffy.
Cocaine and mograph go hand in hand
excellent tutorial! Just worked through it and have some good looking renders churning out. Thanks for making/sharing this one.

this is awesome :) recreated this with octane, new instance node in 3.07 does the trick with gradients
thanks so much for sharing it was taking me forever to figure out.
can you explain this to me? i'm having trouble figuring this out myself
Would it be possible to see the final render? :)
Fantastic, thanks for sharing this!
Worst thing: you want to listen to this tutorial in your office, you use headphones and at every 10secs he sniffs into your ear!!
still, he gives info for free! get over it (I hate it too but like the info even more)
Great tute, Nate!

Thanks for this great tutorial.... What's theVersion of X-Particles ??
because i don't have the Texture emitter option.
It's there but it's moved under another tab.
@@wiIliammendoza care to explain where precisely ?

@@jacopospina1075 Same here. I know it's been a while, but did you solve it? If so, how did you do it? Thanks!
Splendid tutorial. Thanks a lot.
great channel great tutorials
I'm very pleased that I subscribed
TNice tutorials is pretty much a modern day Fairlight CMI.
i follow all the steps but once i oficially clickrender to picture viewer i doesn;t displace anything. Plss help me with that

Go to the xparticles emitter "object properties". Then select the "texture"-tab and set color channel to "none".
You are a BOSS! thanks

Does some one knows how to get the ramp colors from RS Material ramp?

nice little tutorial :) thx a lot
greatest tutoriel! thanks
Awesome!
Very awesome!
Do I need to purchase x-particles separately or is it included in my R26 version of C4D?
can somebody tell me how to render the animation or frames in the redshift renderer
thank you sir

for some reason for me the Particles tab does not appear in the Redshift Object Tag. Can anyone help me?
Studio name ?
Any idea if this can be achieved in Octane and xparticles?
Tried with Octane first but it only has a very limited form of sphere particle which is of no use in this case.
Yeah Octane has the worst support for XP.
Yes
great tutorial - wonder how to render this in cycles4D
don´t have redshift..
6 years later, and my viewport cant even handle 100k, wtf
Is this possible with Real Flow?
thx !!
Where can i download realflow?

I had to watch at 1.25 speed because it's a bit slow, and the constant sniffling makes it sound like you're doing coke. Great tutorial by the way.
Is it possible to export these to AI or as vector? I'm trying to plot some xparticle designs. Nice work!
push speed x2
high quality please..... i dont see the tutorial
this is HQ :)
The sniffling is actually ridiculous. Good tutorial though. Next time fit in 2 minutes if you want to sniff your heart out.
can i buy you a tissue man? gross
