@@oakironoutdoors2436 yes they do work better than I ever expected , I have learned alot in past few years about scrapes and messing with scrapes natural and mock ! I've learned that if you find a natural scrape & pee in it then go down about 20 yards and scratch out another scrape and pee in it and take my hand limb saw & make a mock Rub that it will piss off the buck that made the natural scrape because he thinks a strange buck has came into his territory and pissed in his scrape and has the Gaul to go down a few feet and scratch himself out a scrape and Rub ... this will trigger the buck and have him furious and will come check that scrape more frequently ... I've also found that if you are in the woods / field walking around anywhere the deer are or frequent then in early season I have a drag line with 2 scent wicks tied about 3ft apart on a paracord , the front wick I put just plain doe urine & the 2nd wick I put regular buck urine and that leaves a scent trail that imitates a doe & buck walking together and this will help with my human scent and make the deer interested in this foreign new deer scent in their area and not be keyed in on my scent so to speak... during pre rut and rut I put code blue doe in estrues on front wick and dominant buck lure on 2nd wick imitate a buck trailing a doe and when I'm walking to my stand I will lay down this scent trail wherever I walk , I also spray the bottom of one boot with doe estrues and other boot with buck urine to keep my human scent undetectable for most part atleast from my rubber boots ... this has worked for me for a while , I have jumped deer still hunting walking and watch them flee area and I will find a tree to climb or a spot to sit on ground andi will walk out a perimeter around the tree or spot and return back to the spot to hunt and within hour ive had the same deer / buck come back into investigate or return to the bed and pick up that scent trail and I've watched the deer trail that perimeter and come right to me unbeknownst ! Scentdrags can ve utilized year from the start of season to the end ! I've also been experimenting with mock Rubs and they also can work for u if u put them in right place ... I have found that if you find a primary scrape to leave it alone and back off a lil ways from it and scratch u one out and pee in it and that will intrigue the bucks to this new buck that's laying down sign , I also learned mock vine scrapes work well in secluded area's with alot of cover as u say , I've tried on field edges and they work but not like in the interior of the woods ! I think you should try to use a drag line in with your mock vine scrapes when you hunt !
Great content man.
