I purchased a 2014 Certified Range Rover Autobiography 3 years ago. I absolutely love it and I have had no problems with it! Congratulations to your Bro!
Good to hear. Thanks for sharing! I just bought a certified 2016 HSE Sport TD6. I'm nervous about the mechanical issues. I bought the extended warranty already. I want to make sure all future problems are covered. It's reassuring to hear that you are going to buy another one. @EddieX did a good job on the video. It keeps the tutorial interesting. Most of them are boring. :P Sounds like a lecture.
It's curious to note that no matter what people's opinion on a Range Rover is(positive or negative), people are always very passionate about it. It's one brand to which people can't ever seem to be indifferent towards.
So many haters in the comments section. Keep hating and keep dreaming (secretly) Congrats on the car and the house looks beautiful. Great neighborhood!
Tae Lim No haters really, stereotypical brand new British luxury vehicle fault and it’s true. Have a 23 year luxury old Isuzu trooper citation and everything worked on the first day of purchase and everything still works now 23 years on. It’s now a collectors vehicle now. Been looking at Range Rovers now plus others but Not sure if I should go for a Range Rover and run the risk of faults or Toyota Land Cruiser which wouldn’t have any fault. Will buy the Range Rover in a heartbeat if I am guaranteed of no silly faults for 24 months bearing in mind that Ive owned a faultless trooper for over 2 decades. They don’t make them anymore,
I think this is by far the best luxury suv on the market. If you have the ability to maintain and own this vehicle go for it not a bad choice people will say buy something more reliable but hell buy what you want
To all salty people here if you can’t afford a luxury car like this stop saying bad things about it. It does not matter if it is not reliable as long as the people enjoy driving it. No reliable cars unless you know to maintain them properly.
EddieX As long as he's happy, and I'm sorry it didn't turn out the way he initially desired. In your experience with high level orders such as this, is it a common thing for one or two things to not make it? Or would you consider this a rarity?
Yeah ummm thanks for displaying your ignorance. You obviously don’t own one idiot as they’re very dependable you just have to take care of them and obviously you can’t afford it. Hater
Im a range rover tech and the ive already had to replace the middle console motor along with the whole frame with it. Glad to see someone else has had it happen too
I bought a 14' Sport Autobiography last year, haven't had any issues. They way people were talking I was thinking it would have been in the shop 5 times by now. Is it the older generations that have issues?
I disagree. Your $80K in two years will not be enough to get this one. Nope. The vehicle will be well cared for over the next 24 months and then as he makes his move to another one this will bring a much higher number, I'll say, at least $120K.
Warren Carter, if you are right then depreciation must be a lot lower in the USA than the UK.Maybe this is to do with the fact that in the UK retail prices include all taxes by law so in our case, perhaps the tax element is written off right away causing depreciation to appear more than the USA where taxes are added to retail price? Or maybe US citizens "forget' to include the tax element in the depreciation calculation on resale? I don't know, what do you think?
v6 range rovers from 2013 with lower mileage are still around 55-60k in the US. MSRPs on those were around 90-95k. Range rovers here typically depreciate a lot in a year or two then hold pretty steady until a new generation comes out.
Just found your comment right now as the system signaled me to look. See Jake's comment as I feel he has the empirical data. Also, I am discussing THIS VEHICLE as I believe it will be seen in the marketplace HERE in US. It will be (is) unique and well cared for. I am predicting this as I understand behaviors. As for tax issues: People here may or may not figure in the true cost of ownership on things. That's not discussed openly. I usually add everything up an then round upwards and say, "I just paid $80,000 for a Suburban!" and then I drive away. Not a Range Rover but less of a target for the coming collapse. Have both is good too.
How u figure. Bentley suv is 250k plus. Rolls royce suv is 400k plus. Mercedes G63 is same price. That's the class this supercharged range rover competes in. Do your research high end ultra luxury suvs are not cheap.
Toddly21 honestly the parts cost just the same as other brands. It’s just marked up a lot because the individual would purchase this because they want to be labeled in a different category or feel better by driving around in an expensive car.
*EddieX:* Having been employed previously as a professional _M Driver_ for Rolls Royce, Maybach and Range Rover, I have to say as far as British _etiquette_ is concerned at least, it's *never* a smart thing to do, to talk in public about _...how long one has been waiting for one's new car._ Insider knowledge being that the more important a client you're considered to be by a particular _marque,_ the higher up the waiting list you are for having it delivered to you - no matter how demanding you are with personalisation details. For example as far as Rolls Royce and Range Rover are concerned, the customer who has to wait the shortest time for delivery of a new vehicle is HM The Queen and the rest of the British Royal Household. Second on those same two lists by the way is the House of Saud. So being kept waiting longer than your friend is very much an indicator that you're a less important customer of a certain brand. Just a little tip there for your friend John *_Ahem._*
Amazing vehicle, I can't even begin to imagine. That paint is killer, coming from a professional auto detailer please don't ever take it to a car wash, you should hire a professional detailing company to hand wash it at your house. Car washes of any kind will ruin that paint so quickly! Again, congrats!
It’s doesnt matter what others say.. keep in some people don’t even like themselves let alone like the taste of another person- especially buying a Range Rover. The color is nice.. I have an older x type jag in British racing green.. nice choice👍🏻
Love the RR but beware, that first electrical hiccup may become a series of headaches. If you're gong to keep it for a while, get an extended warranty by a reputable company - not necessarily a company promoted by the dealer. This SUV is much better in build quality and materials. Love the color. I agree, the Sport is cool. I like the gear shifter in the sport as opposed to the dial shifter in the RR. The Meridian system is amazing. Was there an option for a console for the rear passengers? Would make sense for storage and other miscellaneous switches such as HVAC and rear entertainment. Good luck!
Beautiful car! Sorry you had issues with the console, glad it was an easy fix! LR aren't great for reliability so you kind of get nervous from day 1 of ownership. Anyway that aside what a car! I must have watched this about 5/6 times. More please! Oh and take it off road they are fantastic off the beaten track :) enjoy every minute.
So here we are a year and a half later - and what do you think? Has it held up well? Service has been worthy of the marque? Remains a smooth ride? Any offroad time? You may not care - but what mpg?
And now 5 years later, an autobiography 2018 sc Range Rover with 50k miles is now in the 50s low 60s, so he lost have in 5 years. 2nd hand is always best way to no lose as much on higher end vehicles and SUVs.
Congratulations for the new Autobiography it is Beautiful car I am waiting my car for last 5 month now expecting on next Nov 2018 all the best enjoy driving
I’m watching this two years later and although I know how notoriously unreliable these cars are (and I hate dealing with inconveniences like going to the garage) I still want one. I’m preparing myself for what the ownership experience might be like. Do you still have it and what has it been like to own for two years?
Black Tanner unfortunately nothing us in service can do especially when it’s sold right off the truck, no time to diagnose or try to find issues when everyone’s just wanting their car they have waited forever to get shipped in
Nice Video, Great Truck! Two things though - you said that the Masacar (Sp?) is only available in Autobiography. Is that something new for 2018? My mother has a 2015 Range Rover LWB SC with Masacar wood as standard. (She has the Firenze Red which has now become a $10,000 SVO option) - so I didn't know if the wood choice was also now a special order. The wheel on moms car also has the wood - so I don't know if they "ran out" or forgot it on yours. You should ask them to replace the steering wheel. For this price - you should absolutely get what you ordered and what you want. Don't be shy to insist.
Tasteful spec! Sadly not too often seen on range rovers, since they became the must have vehicle of gangsta rappers, drug dealers and footballers wives!
Hey Eddie I ordered a Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE with 22 inch wheels, it should be ready by mid Summer. I take delivery at the same dealership showcased above. If you wish to rate it I would let you use it.
Congratulations! I'm waiting for mine in that exact same colour! Did you go for the Shadow exterior pack or the standard Atlas Grey? I can't really tell from the video...
All the ( experts ) saying bad quality or will break down ...in the real world German and Japanese 4x4s could only dream about ...Range Rover the bench mark of 4x4
Hate to be a hater, but when you see these 20 somethings dropping 150k on a Range Rover, there's usually more to the story than what's being let on. I'd guess it's at least in part some of daddy's money, but if they'd love to prove me wrong, they can be my guest.
Eddie, ask your friend what he thinks of the new release of the new x5? And according to your own take Eddie if you compare the x5 with the range rover/range rover sport. what would you choose?
I would have broken your hand for pressing the button on the fob first, opening the drivers door first then rubbing your broken hand over steering wheel.
I purchased a 2014 Certified Range Rover Autobiography 3 years ago. I absolutely love it and I have had no problems with it!
Congratulations to your Bro!
yeah my friend has a 2013 range rover sport it has over 90k miles with no mechanical issues.
That's awesome! The latest gen one really updates the infotainment.
EddieX
Great Channel!
I'm gonna get a Certified 2018 Autobiography next year!
Good to hear. Thanks for sharing! I just bought a certified 2016 HSE Sport TD6. I'm nervous about the mechanical issues. I bought the extended warranty already. Al Williams will like to see more of these reliable Range Rover to make up my mind

So true.
The depreciation on this is going to be breathtaking.
Ankit Panigrahi
How can I shut you up? Specifics, please.
Stan Lee yup typical range rover and depricate like peanut
Stan Lee Worth it.
didnt even get the wooden steering finish that he originally wanted lol
Don't think dude cares.
You can just see the regret in your buddy’s face when he’s talking about that button.
I think this is by far the best luxury suv on the market. If you have the ability to maintain and own this vehicle go for it not a bad choice people will say buy something more reliable but hell buy what you want
If you can afford it and maintain it...I Agree. Its amazing. people who like to talk shit about it usually can't afford one.
That green is sharp!
It looks beautiful
To all salty people here if you can’t afford a luxury car like this stop saying bad things about it. It does not matter if it is not reliable as long as the people enjoy driving it. No reliable cars unless you know to maintain them properly.
Can't afford one n brabrabra all days😂😂
Waited nearly a year and didn't get the complete car you ordered? Pfft. Nope.
eh. slightly disappointing, but its all okay in the end
EddieX As long as he's happy, and I'm sorry it didn't turn out the way he initially desired.
In your experience with high level orders such as this, is it a common thing for one or two things to not make it? Or would you consider this a rarity?
Schroedinger's Cat this video is suspect! The salesman would have gone out with him and expected the car for sure!!!
So I can officially say that reguardless of quality control people love these enough to buy them anyway
Rent one for week and you'll want one too. Except the gas bill. Lol
Yeah ummm thanks for displaying your ignorance. You obviously don’t own one idiot as they’re very dependable you just have to take care of them and obviously you can’t afford it. Hater
Good color combo. Beautiful, majestic and luxurious. Haters will never understand a RR.
Agreed
Man that British Racing Green in Matte is even more incredible!
Man that is specced well. Beautiful colours inside and out and those wheels.
it looks so amazing!
Congrats on a beautiful spec car. YOU BOY GOT EXCELLENT TASTE. LOOKS AMAZING.
GREAT VIDEO.
It is amazing! glad you enjoyed the video
Completely agree, really good taste!!!! Color combination is amazing.
Pure class and a classic colour, you are a lucky guy.
They ran out of wood for the steering wheel LOL! The best thing about this car is that you will be able to buy it for half price in 2 years time.
I disagree. Your $80K in two years will not be enough to get this one. Nope. The vehicle will be well cared for over the next 24 months and then as he makes his move to another one this will bring a much higher number, I'll say, at least $120K.

I honestly couldn't justify 160k USD for this. Congrats on the new car though.
Honestly a 50k grand cherokee is probably a functionally better car too.
Not in my country, 160K usd you could only buy a bmw 5 series / eclass and many people could still afford it
How u figure. Bentley suv is 250k plus. Rolls royce suv is 400k plus. Mercedes G63 is same price. That's the class this supercharged range rover competes in. Do your research high end ultra luxury suvs are not cheap.
sabres0809 lol says everyone who can’t afford a range. Not saying I can but I’m not hating.
Toddly21 honestly the parts cost just the same as other brands. It’s just marked up a lot because the individual would purchase this because they want to be labeled in a different category or feel better by driving around in an expensive car.
Classic Land Rover, broken buttons from the factory lol
we figured it out tho. It was not actually broken, rear seat wasn't mechanically latched properly
Not broken though just operator error.
THE HATE IS REAL. WHEN YOU CAN AFFORD TO BUY ONE A BROKEN BUTTON WONT MATTER.

Congrats!! I cross-shopped the RR, G Wagon, but ultimately decided on a 2019 Lexus LX570
Noypi54494 you chose a LX over the G?

put a caption with this on that part of the video
LOL
You got some serious taste man!!
Congratulations on this beauty!!
Such a nice car when it works.
the green paint looks great, and it goes nicely with those sand colored leather seats
I can't wait to see the new DEFENDER.
It’s doesnt matter what others say.. keep in some people don’t even like themselves let alone like the taste of another person- especially buying a Range Rover.
The color is nice.. I have an older x type jag in British racing green.. nice choice👍🏻

She kept it Lowkey AP?
NileshR12 Audemars Piguet
NileshR12 smh step ya knowledge up youngin
You should see the rest of the watch collection... lol. Love the Royal oak tho.
Douglas Hamner isn’t it? Bunch of black guys that can afford em and you can’t. Tragic 😪😉🤣
The refrigerator !!!!!! I was cracking up so hard.
I had the same issue with my 2018…
British Racing Green colour is it? Exceptionally nice. That and the tan interior, a rare combo.
So I actually ordered one as well but it was black with a red interior... thanks to y’all I am changing it to this brown one!
Classic choice including choice of colour. Please keep us posted with long term user review.
On new X5 2019 (G05) you don't have to lift bottom half of trunk. It's auto retractable.
that section that opens for the holders, for so much money you would expect them to have fitted more powerful motors to move that thing
One lucky man...congrats!
Fantastic specification, nicely played.
I have a Range Rover SV AUTOBIOGRAPHY and everything in it is working fine...
absolutely awesome, best colour for range rover, love the wheels, wish i could afford this dream car..
So here we are a year and a half later - and what do you think? Has it held up well? Service has been worthy of the marque? Remains a smooth ride? Any offroad time? You may not care - but what mpg?
The British racing green looks nice. Good video Eddie
That's exactly how i'd spec it. Very nice.
Getting to help spec this car online then see it in person...I agree. It looks perfect.
Looks amazing. I hope your friend is still enjoying it.
And now 5 years later, an autobiography 2018 sc Range Rover with 50k miles is now in the 50s low 60s, so he lost have in 5 years. 2nd hand is always best way to no lose as much on higher end vehicles and SUVs.
you HAVE to give us an update after he's owned it for am onth or two!
Excellent color combo. Lack of wood grain on the steering wheel woulda been a deal breaker for me though lol. Congrats + best of luck to John!
We ended up both agreeing that we preferred the leather steering wheel actually!
Congratulations for the new Autobiography it is Beautiful car I am waiting my car for last 5 month now expecting on next Nov 2018 all the best enjoy driving
youll be very happy with yours, its amazing!
I’m watching this two years later and although I know how notoriously unreliable these cars are (and I hate dealing with inconveniences like going to the garage) I still want one. I’m preparing myself for what the ownership experience might be like. Do you still have it and what has it been like to own for two years?
Yes most definitely a beautiful machine...
Great taste! Specd perfectly
it is indeed the perfect spec
It’s very beautiful car. Congratulations bro
thanks!
Welcome and enjoy 😉
I work here and I remember seeing this when it came off the truck, and in the shop being unwrapped. Funny I came across this video
Ethan Carter funny how the vehicle had issues before leaving the parking lot🤣
Black Tanner unfortunately nothing us in service can do especially when it’s sold right off the truck, no time to diagnose or try to find issues when everyone’s just wanting their car they have waited forever to get shipped in
Ethan Carter true that
no serious issues. We ended up figuring out that the rear seat wasnt completely latched!
That interior is amazing.

Rover autobiography is my favorite suv😎👍🏿
Hi Eddie! How is John's Range Rover ownership going so far?
This is sooooo incredibly awesome! Happy for you! Do you still have it?
Lots of so called "experts" in the comments.
Tasteful spec! Sadly not too often seen on range rovers, since they became the must have vehicle of gangsta rappers, drug dealers and footballers wives!
congrats, nice review also. don't hate the player, hate the game.
Hey Eddie I ordered a Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE with 22 inch wheels, it should be ready by mid Summer. I take delivery at the same dealership showcased above. If you wish to rate it I would let you use it.
Awesome! Shoot me a message on IG. Congeats on the new car
Looks great! It costs easily over 250k for standard wheelbase for autobiography in (south) korea. You are previleged!
Cracking motor mate, its a beauty. Petrol as well, good job you dont have to fill it up in England, it would cost a mint.
I love that green paint job
I was just there getting my service done to my rr!!! Amazing!
Great looking car, I am happy for you...I am dreaming of driving a RR but I'm too afraid it will break down more often than I can stand.
Great looking car!
Nice ride dude!
Love the color! Inside and out!!!!!!
They look great on sunny days.
Nice car. Planning to buy one myself in few months. Range Rover is the best.
camerman seems more excited than the owner lol
Great video EDDIE!
thank you!
I wonder what he does for a living
fimba92 pimps
fimba92 kung pau
lemonade stand
EddieX honestly, what does he do for a living to just drop $160,000 on a vehicle?
Hate to be a hater, but when you see these 20 somethings dropping 150k on a Range Rover, there's usually more to the story than what's being let on. I'd guess it's at least in part some of daddy's money, but if they'd love to prove me wrong, they can be my guest.
Your polo matches the cars exterior paint
*Your.
You’re = you are
Your = yours
R А да, извини я не знал, спасибо
haha its kinda close. I love this paint
EddieX it looks really good! From the video to me it seemed fairly close to the Mustang Bullitt paint
You can deactivate the auto on/off start. I just unhook the second battery which its only job is for Auto on off
Nice video! Could you also do a POV of this when you do the review, because I still haven’t found a 2018 supercharged pov. Thanks!
I will keep that in mind. Definitely can film one
when i saw that middle console I instantly thought. "that'll break in 5 years" and here we are..
hey we figured it out lol. the rear seat wasnt latching properly. It is working fine now haha
With all due respect and no disrespect just letting you know #JLR - JAGUAR & LAND ROVER. Owned by TATA - an INDIAN.
Did they ever fix the mid console problem, with the open/ close situation?
Eddie, ask your friend what he thinks of the new release of the new x5? And according to your own take Eddie if you compare the x5 with the range rover/range rover sport. what would you choose?
Set suspension to dynamic mode to firm up
You guys got that big money
FANTASTIC SPEC!
Range Rovers are problematic but holy shit they look amazing.
That's why you lease cars like this. I would never pay that much cash for a car.
You never did anymore videos on this car, what happened, did you guys break up?
If you don't mind me asking what is John's occupation? Very very nice ride! Best of luck sir! Can't wait for more review content!
Lol I can confirm, I definitely fit in the middle seat.
Wow nice Range and Home. What do your friends do for a living!
that color is just nice just nice
it looks amazing in the sun
Just a lovely car. Thanks for sharing.
I would have broken your hand for pressing the button on the fob first, opening the drivers door first then rubbing your broken hand over steering wheel.
Reliability nightmare but looks fucking amazing
We will keep track of how the reliability is, since he wants to keep it for a while. and it does look beautiful
