Where the crawdads sing is a great movie interesting
I’m still even surprised you don’t smell the def fluid I know you said it before

Hi Alex your show kind of reminds me of ice road truckers going on long trips your should see that channel your and their channel is awesome
100% need to use slow cooker. 8 hours while your driving with cabbage and it's delish
I agree, but add potatoes and carrots along with the cabbage
Great videos if you butterfly the meat it'll cook faster and better. That goes with any thick cut of meat
Agree, a crockpot is a must.
@@Mr.Santoyo yeah, people like that are not cool.
Came here to say this too, low and slow is key for corned beef
I've been driving for ten years and love cooking in my truck. I've dealt with the inverter issues before. They have electric frying pans at Walmart for about 25 bucks, you can fry, boil, and sauté with them. It takes up less room and much less power so you can cook microwave air fry or bake much faster. Stay safe and great travels my dude. Edit I started with u.s. xpress great starter company bro.
i think a part of the reason you haven't gained weight when other truckers seem to a lot of the time is that in the passed i've heard you say that you don't drink many sugary drinks like energy drinks or soda. also its pretty clear that you put in the effort to make yourself some home cooked (or "cab cooked" lol) meals. both of those things are huge in regards to health. glad to hear you're doing and feeling well thus far. :)
He eats healthy and cooked food. Also his calorie intake is just enough to help him not gain weight. Props to him! No excuses. Even on the road one can find ways to eat properly
Thank you, Alex. You're showing us a different way of being out there. Please wash the cutting board with soap and water say at a truck stop as soon as you can or throw it away like you said. We need you to stay healthy. Thank you for everything you do.
My mom always rinsed store-bought corn beef with water to wash away the extra brine, which will cut down on the salt flavor. I love corned beef with cooked cabbage, and you can use your leftovers to make a killer Ruben sandwich on that grill you have. Stay safe Alex and thanks for sharing!
Dont worry thats not blood. Its called Myoglobin. Thats what carries oxygen throughout the veins and vessels of the animal. Completely safe for human consumption
Nice effort Alex. Corned beef is cured, so it will have more salt content than most pre flavored beef. With your setup, butterflying the meat will reduce the cooking time. If you can reduce the depth of the beef to say 3/4 inches, it will speed the cooking. I know you like your grill/hot plate, but it requires battery power to run. Have you thought about purchasing a portable butane burner? No electricity required, will need some pans. They run off 8 oz butane cans that last a number of hours. Depending on the model, you can get burners putting out 15,000 BTUs which is a lot of instant/continuous heating power. I would use a portable burner with either a fry pan or wok. Then you could cook anything in a short period of time. You just need to use a high smoke point oil like peanut or avocado to prevent smoking.
Alex is gonna get a job as a chef after his trucking career
No... Alex will be retired, living at the top pf a mountain on Ecuador, when he's done with trucking
Alex is gonna get jod chf after his trucking career Joel
Hey Alex, did you remember the vegetables? Hey have a great week Alex I hate time zones they screw me up! Keep safe and say hi to Gerald for me!
Lol gerald I forgot I named my truck that. Funny name
The other Alex drives a peterbilt 579
I bet that was tough as hell
Good morning Alex, just wanted to say hi I'm on my way to deliver in Indiana. Thank you for showing me Variant keep safe oh and Ralph says hi! Oh damn he's cooking again
Hey John, where may I ask did you find your Emoji?

Weather permitting, why not cook your meal outside the truck, to avoid steaming and smelling it up? You could use a extension cord for your grill plugged into your truck's power source and a small fold up table for your spices etc., just a thought, :-). Enjoy your videos. Safe Travels.
Carry Windex. Add a little Dawn to it. Use it to clean the few dishes, cutting board and utensils you use if you aren't able to actually wash them. You can add just ammonia to the Windex and it will work fine. It's also great for killing flies, etc and you don't have to drag around a filthy fly swatter.
Add a cover for that grill. It will cook much faster and seal juices.
Haha...Alex just jumps into anything whether or not he actually knows how to prepare it! I love that. He'll make mistakes, but someday will be a fine cook. Can't wait for the "Alex the Chef Guy" series. A couple of comments: reading the instructions on the packaging is always a good place to start. They are there for a reason. Corned beef is a tough cut, that usually requires lengthy cooking. It's salty, and with a long simmer with lots of water salt will migrate out of the beef into the water. That's why you're seeing all the "slow cooker" comments. Once you know what you are doing, you can depart from the package instructions. (Ditto the advice for the frozen lobster--as I recall, you kinda winged it.). The good thing is that you seem to be having fun.
@@greekthejimmy4107 I so disagree. Remember, we're grading on a curve against 23 yr old males. Would watching a typical 23 yr old pop a couple of hotdogs into the microwave, while rummaging around for the bag of Cheetos be interesting? NO. Alex obviously gets a kick out of cooking, even though he doesn't have the advantage of someone nearby hinting as to the proper way to prepare corned beef (i.e. boil) . He is curious. He seems to have a sense for seasoning. I think his cooking videos are hugely entertaining. You see someone trying something out for the first time with absolutely no fear, no net. Love his good cheer if the results aren't exactly what he was expecting. I've seen a few cooking videos from folks in a RV kitchens, and it looks impossible due to space. Alex is doing it in a track cab! I'm serious when I say I almost like the cooking videos the best. It's a high wire act, and you never know what is coming next. Go Alex!
The best way to view the cooking videos is to treat it as a "Big Game." It's a crowd participation event. If I listen carefully, I can sometimes hear the other channel viewers. Or at least, there was a universal groan when he pulled out the lysol wipes. No, no, no, no, NO! By the time he threw frozen veggie chunks on what looked to be a 250°F electric griddle, I was peering through my fingers. Me? As a RTFM kinda guy, I'm going to set off celebratory fireworks when Alex reads package instructions before he starts cooking, rather than after he starts to wonder if something is amiss....
The algorithm sent me to this channel for unknown reasons. But I'm glad it did. However, if it directs me to another trucking channel? I'll ask one question: "Yeah, but does then channel host plate his meals?"
Bro everyone already saying it in the comments🤣 you can't cook everything on the grill it would be good to do research before you cook something.. FYI prepackaged lobster is bright red it's already cooked so all your really doing is just heating it up.. and the meat is pink from the curing process they use pink salt you have to boil corn beef
Dude it's a wonderful thing to be able to eat like that and don't have to worry about fitting in the truck . If I look at the meals you have , I gain10 lbs just watching . Rabbit food for me lololol . Drive safe and really enjoy your vids.
Alex, there’s two sides to the cutting board. Use one side for uncooked food and the other for cooked. Label it with a sharpie.
Culinary skills 1.1. Entertainment 10. Have a safe trip.
Corned beef is not a meat for a grill. It's tough and should be cooked covered in water. Takes that salt out. 😁
Three quart instant pot there Alex. Toss all the meat in. It has a crockpot function also. Advantage is the instant pot's lid will seal, so anything happens, it's not going to be all over the place. If you are using the crockpot function, leave the release valve open. Or, you stop for the night and watching TV, it would have cooked that entire piece of meat in an hour or so and it would have been really tender.
Into the instant pot, cover with water. Then you can toss in some potatoes, carrots and cabbage cook for 10 minutes. Microwave to reheat the next day for lunch.
Sorry if that is a repeat. 😀
Hello Alex I was wondering can you use a crockpot in you’re truck maybe that way you can cook you’re food while your delivering and when you’re ready to do dinner half of your dinner ready. All you have left is you’re side dish but lol love your cooking always look good 👍🏼
You plated everything on a blooded cutting board cleaned with Lysol wipes??? DAMN!!
Great to hear from you
Great channel, I love your cooking videos. They sell disposable cutting board sheets /matts/protectors not sure of the name they are by the crock pot liners. at Walmart
I absolutely love your videos. You'll have 1M subs by the end of the year. Keep up the hard work. Thankfully you didn't drop your meal when you were getting the all important thumbnail shot. Also, i meat thermometer may be useful for your cooking. 😉
16:15 Alex, did you forget the yum yum sauce?!!
Alex, Have you thought about getting a Crock pot (slow cooker)? Find a way to tie it down, your dinner will be cooking while you drive, or sleep
This guy is a trip. Love the videos makes me wanna be a trucker.
Chef Alex, becoming a great truck driver and cook at the same time. Way to go.
Love it when you upload makes the day even better
Alex, always carry a bottle of white vinegar to clean cutting boards and kitchen utinsels. Vinegar kills bacteria and surprisingly doesnt leave a bad oder. I used it for years on the road.
Thanks for the video!
I’m really loving the cooking set up you got, very delicious
Hey Alex I love your videos so keep them coming. My father was a truck driver in the UK and I’ve always loved anything about trucks then came across your videos and now I’m hooked. Could I have a shout out in one of your videos plz. Keep on trucking Scott
Squidward: "I want you to forget everything except fine dining, breathing & driving"
Alex: Yes sir!
A garden sprayer makes a good makeshift sink.
I dont know about driving a semi, but for sure alex eats way better food that what my wife cooks for me
I like your effort. Slow and low with cabbage and rye bread . Nice mustard
Nufie , Irish heaviness.
Hard to do the corn beef any othe way.
Slow cooker for the win.... Gets tough is cooked by any other means..
I have a slow cooker secured to the back of my cab what I do as I started this before I start my drive and at the end of the drive have an extremely juicy well seasoned corned beef and cabbage carrots potatoes.. cook the entire thing and then snack sandwiches and make breakfast out of the other half..
Great as always!
You need to check the 17” blackstone electric griddle I got one in my truck and the best thing to cook on😅
How is the griddle? Looking at this one but reviews say the heat doesn’t hold up once you put food on it.
Need more content mr Alex I ran out! Love the videos “oh my gosh!”
You need an insta pot which is a multicooker. Pressure cook the corned beef.
Just found your channel alex entertaining videos! 600k subscribers wow! Have all your videos been about trucking even since the beginning of your channel? Amazing sir!
one of the funniest videos i have seen in ages. this man served the food on the same cutting board he cut the raw meat on and then wiped with a clorox wipe. 😂
I wish I could come there just to teach you EASY COOKING SKILLS lol. Man I love that your learning and trying stuff but you don’t need to be overkill with the little things like a little blood on the cutting board. Use one of your Clorox wipes to clean your cutting board until you can get to a truck stop to use hot water and dish soap. It’s not gonna kill ya and sometimes a firm piece of meat isn’t always the best. The fat will add to flavor and also help keep the flavor plus add flavor. Just don’t let the little things get to you. Also if it’s PINK YOUR GOOD MAN! Lol it’s not still mooing or bloody so your not gonna die. Overcooking meat is the one thing that drives me crazy bc it is just ruining the taste of the meat
Just a little advice, make sure your grill/pan is extremely hot and cook steak's both sides 1 min each. Then lower the heat and cook 8 min in total (depending how thick, you can even do less if you like medium) Pink is great. This way you keep the juice inside and it doesnt feel rubbery.
Good Morning Alex. And Happy New Year to you my friend.👍❤
Corned beef is cured in salt. I’d go with cabbage, it helps with the salty👍
Yeah corn beef is meant to be boiled. Bring to a boil then simmer 2 1/2-3 hours. Also will take out most of the salt. Also when done look at it. Then cut across the grain. Done right will be very tender. Cut wrong will end up tough. Also the color will stay red
That’s the same way I eat at home😂.one items at a item sharing same stuff
Beautiful morning brother stay safe out there.
You really need a crockpot dude.
I would love to see you ditch the rice for fresh mushrooms, and even onions. Both are super cheap tasty nutritious foods. Also some spinach and kale. And eggs in the morning. If you have a bowl you can microwave them. Not sure how many watts yours is, but in 900 watts it takes a minute for perfect scrambled egg and spinach.
HOLY CRAP ALEX IS A 5 STAR CHEF
Love your videos, Alex! I notice that cooking large chunks of meat is tough on that grill you have. I recommend maybe cutting it into bite size pieces and it may cook much quicker. Keep doing what you’re doing 👍 I got my CDL A about 7 months ago and I drive local routes for Pepsi. I considered OTR but I’ve got a baby on the way now and I would hate to be away from him for too long.
I agree. I would use a camping stove with propane and cook with the windows down. Brown up that meat n veggies real good.
I’m so glad you didn’t drop the food while taking the thumbnail
I finally gotta comment. I love watching your videos and am contemplating getting a Class A CDL for when I'm laid off from carpentry, really enjoy your channel. but DAMN you gotta start watching some cooking videos! corned beef is definitely inherently salty, but you really can't cook that on a plug-in grill like that. it's beef brisket, it needs a long time and constant heat. like a crockpot or a roaster in the oven. also, that isn't blood coming out of the meat. it's known and proven not to be blood at all.
Perfectoo 14:00 Master TruckChef. Gordo Ramsey be proud of you...
Go eat Enjoy ... wish I had some too
Corned beef needs to be either cooked in a pressure cooker or a slow cooker to really enjoy it.
It softens the meat and also takes some of the salt out by having the liquid around it.
Did you put the cooked meat on the bloody cutting board? 🤨
I would recommend a meat thermometer so you can take the guessing out of cooked meat. cook the steak to 125 degrees and you know it will be done. Chicken you cook to 165 degrees. might make your meals even better.
You need a kitchen exhaust fan. Don’t forget your fire extinguisher 😂
Cooked corned beef is gonna be pinkish and very stringy.. But yes a crock pot or an insta pot would be amazing for you. 🇨🇦❤️
Cut an X at the top of the package and pull the meat out and the "juices" will stay in the package. Also you might wanna take out the thumbnail shot you forgot to blur out your truck number
Alex what do you do when you realize you can’t make a turn into where you’re going because it’s not big enough?
@Alexthetruckingguy1 what?
You still fooling around with that grill. Oh my Gosh.
Roast with red potatoes and cabbage!! 😉
Im a chef aswell gooing into trucking io will be this guy😂😂😂😂 n bbq griill somewhere stashed 😂😂
You're right Your thumbnail was really attractive 🧡
Alex, we gotta get you some good North Eastern Pennsylvania Kielbasa right from the store in Shenandoah Pa
That is not the way to cook corn beef. Slow cooker 3 to 4 hours, instant pot 1 one hour under pressure, or boiled for a few hours.
That is a boiling roast. I can’t imagine what
It is like grilled.
Soon, the Trucking chef show. Coming to theaters near you. You're one funny guy. At least you eat healthy.
I think it's time to buy a meat thermometer. I recommend getting a good Thermapen.
I wouldn't even though about that but that's a great idea for having 2 smoke detectors in your truck
Get some sharper knives and paper plates to use as disposable cutting boards.
Slow cooker is the way to go like everyone else here says that the best way.
I absolutely love your videos
Salty maybe thats why most people BOIL that cut of beef for couple of hours. But the mere fact eat it speaks volumes about you.
Corned beef is always salty try a air fryer they cook food quickly
My dude went from day I my life to gordan ramsey
Bro is cooking 👍🏾
Why not get a portable gas stove seems easier to use
You are a good person
White rice and two fried eggs on top of it...............nothing better for a light meal.
You crack me up, stay safe.
Is there some Target branches which allow semi-truck drivers to park in their parking lot to buy some groceries real quick?
Have you considered cooking outside your truck? I mean you’re parked and you have room, so why do you feel the need to cook everything inside the cab?
Is your response automatic or do you send each person a copy and paste? Also you need to get a slow cooker or a air fryer! If is a life saver for really good food in a pinch
Mostly that’s a spam link
@@rjkora that makes sense
I love jasmine rice.
Crock pot for yout lobster man.
a lot of work to save a couple bucks on his lunch, lol
Hi Alex I'm looking from Guyana 🇬🇾🇬🇾South America..My name is karl Mc.Rae using my wife's phone at the moment..I'll subscribe when i get my new phone..I am a truck driver in Guyana..I applaud you as a young driver..I saw some videos where u were at a farm house with board roof..the mountain climb..and much move..Hats off to you..just keep focused and vigilant and u will be fine..I'm old school..
