Very handy to know when you're new to wood heating in a Canadian winter.

Hello. I am looking at a Woodsman Brunner. It looks like it could be difficult to empty because of the upright pieces of steel at the base of the box? Is there a way of cleaning it out ? Ie with a brush and shovel which cannot get in between the steel uprights?

If you have a 8KW Home Back Boiler you have to let it smolder as you don't get a ash bed. If not you will rinse through a Builders bag of wood in a day lol.
