Omgggg I can’t believe your 9 months pregnant alreadyyyyy😭😭😭😭🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Congratulations 🎉🎊 and your hair grew sooo much cause I haven’t watched you in foreverrrrr I’m in my second loc journey now since 2-1-21 and I just washed then and they completely unraveled 😩😩😩 So now I need a retwist!!! Lol 😂 but Good luck and God bless you and your new little baby boy and family 💙💙💙💙
Hi Desiree! Maybe washing/retwisting every 2 weeks isn’t allowing enough time for your locs to loc? The impact that your pregnancy is having on your hair may require that you change how long you go between retwists. Regardless, your hair is beautiful! ❤️
Hi Desiree...I’ve been locked for a year and once I wash my hair it mostly unravels at the roots. I thought that was normal? I guess I just didn’t expect it to stay in the retwisted state once it was washed.
My roots have been looking the same way and I just had my daughter two months ago. I started retwisting every 2-3 weeks because my locs stop locking at the roots at the end of my pregnancy probably the last 3 months. I’m not sure why I thought it was just me lol. Glad to see I’m not alone.
congratz!!!I missed your live baby shower i came in at the end! so happy for you!! and your hair looks nice!!! yess i was thinking about retwisting every two weeks i used aloe vera and that didnt hold my hair lol idk if i will use it again ill see..awesome i need to follow her thats great!! tfs!!
I didn't realize this was a issue during pregnancy but I started my locs interlocing and have retightened it since with interlocing and haven't had any issue with the roots. I was thinking about switching from interlocking but maybe I will wait since I am almost 37 weeks now.
Haven't tuned in, in a while and soon as I clicked the vedio I was like is she pregnant?? Lol I'm currently 33 weeks so maybe that's how I noticed so fast. My locs havent locked at the root during my pregnancy as well I also only did a retwist once this whole time because I have been more focused on nurturing my hair to prevent postpartum shedding as much as possible and the last thing I want to do is pull on my roots. You look amazing by the way and baby has definitely given you some healthy fluffy roots!!
I'm actually thinking of cutting mine off. It been two years, and my roots will not lock. I'm so tired of this issue 😒😪. I have interlocked them, but it doesn't keep them.
Try the Genuine African Formula SuperGro gel extra hold for retwist. Check the reviews here on RUclips. It is moisturizing, has a good hold an no buildup. Oh and it’s all natural.

Try using string on your roots thay tou can see to cut out in a few weeks. Make sure to moisturize and oil the string before adding it to your hair.
