Just found out about this glen today and I've passed it so many times on my motorbikes over the years. Think it will be a wee run up in the car in the near future to sample the glens delights. Thanks for sharing Peter, great wee video.
Hey Cammy cheers big man! Been driving by this wee gem a few times over the years too. Never even heard about it until i saw it on one of the channels i have subbed to (benviroment) It is a stunning wee place and i was shocked to find out it was man made. Aye defo give it a visit when you can and if possible go after a few days of rain (like the noo lol!) and it will look much better all wet. Cheers for watching big man take care, peter :))))
Thank you very much Søren i loved this wee place just wish it went on a bit longer :) Might go back when it is covered in snow will look great :) Thanks for watching, peter :)
Oh yeah go and visit the place its beautiful and it will be better for you because of all the rain we have had lately it was dry as a bone when i was there so the place will be very wet when you go :) Thanks for watching and commenting have a good one, peter :)))))
Great wee insight. I've booked a wee lodge there next weekend and wasn't sure if it was suitable for the kids 11 and 14 but after watching that it looks perfect for them. Some man. Cheers
Cheers Graeme. Aye visit the place it's a beautiful wee walk should keep the wee ones off the phones for a few hours(aye right!) Have a good weekend ma man all the best, peter :)
Thanks aye its a great wee walk would have liked a wee bit more water but glad you got it :) Going to head back when its got a bit of snow on it should look great. Thanks for watchinh John, peter :)
Brilliant Peter,,,, been caravanning up there in dunoon and always head to pucks glen...I was amazed when I first heard that a lot of this was shaped by man and kinda engineered. It's quite a magical place and your video did it proud. Loved that. Cheers man Paul
Me too Paul couldnt believe it either when i first found out, No compaining right enough as some guy deserves a pat on the back for making that wee gem what a place beautiful from start to finish. Would love to see it covered in snow might head up in the winter to see it then. All the best mate, peter :)
Awesome mate.....two minutes from my caravan at Stratheck, if I had know you were going I would have met you, loads of walks up this way. Walked up Pucks the other day, incredibly bet place.....but!!!.....wait for a day it's been teeming for days...and then visit it again....it's so much better when the pools are flowing, you can't hear yourself for the waterfalls...simply incredible to see. Took my bike through it one time, couldn't cycle but once I was on path at top, I free wheeled back down to Inverchapel across the caravan park...magic If you are ever popping by, let me know ok, will take you on a wee reccy of the area.
Excellent mate lucky man having a caravan over there Loch Eck looked beautiful wanted to stop for a while but i had to get back doon the road. I also wished for a wee bit more rain would have looked totally different think autumn would be a good time for a wee visit too ;) Cheers mate hope all is well big man, peter.
Something a bit different for you Peter. I gotta say that place is incredible. It wouldn't be the wrong word either. Your fully engaged with it for sure. Thanks for sharing such a wild beauty. All the best up there. Mark
Thanks Charlie well to hot for me to go to the hills at the moment so i thought of a wee change of scene first heard of this place a few years ago and finally managed a wee visit glad i did it's brilliant from the start to finish would have liked a wee bit more water flowingabout but cant complain. Only saw one other person just after i left the end point think he was heading over the hill down to Loch long seems an interesting route that. And arriving at 5:10am helped too ha ha :) Thanks for watching charlie take care, peter :))
Hi Magnus hope you are well my friend. Aye its been a wee while had a few things to deal wit and sort out. All good now happy to say👍 I am looking to be back on the Munro trail end of march and take it from there. Hopefully get a few "wee anes" on film before then weather permitting of course. All the best Magnus take care, peter :))))
Thanks Dave a wee change of scene wanted to go there for a few years now glad i did loved it mate only saw one other person there maybe the 3am alarm call had something to do with it though ha ha!
ha ha ha shhhhh!!! Yeah i tripped on the tinyiest smallest pebble typical eh? lol! Thanks mate really enjoyed it well worth a wee visit if you havent been already. Take care, peter.
Just checking out your channel Peter, I don't seem to get/see notifications. Watched this weeks ago thought I'd commented. Yes I first saw Ben's vid. Reminds me abit of the Birks of Aberfeldy on the Rob Roy Way. What's the next one?
Strange Eddie need to see if i can work out whats happening. Must say i have had the same issues myself with some other channels. Think YT has spat the dummy oot with some people lol! Hoping to get out somewhere over the weekend no quite sure yet still to decide.
Nah no chucked it Billy but it's mega too warm for me to go to the hills at the moment as a pale skinned dark gingie heid i would suffer big time lol! Risked it a few times and regretted it. Only found out about this great place a few years ago it's really beautiful mate.
Nice one Peter, i like a good walk like that especially in the hot weather for the dogs ..Never heard of Pucks Glen, i'll check it out ..cheers mate, thanks for sharing ..atb Stevie
Thanks Stevie. Beautiful wee place mate it dosent last more than 1.5 - 2 miles but it seems to go on for much longer. Give it a visit if you can sure it's ok for the two dogs as well mate ;) Thanks for watching mate, peter.
Nice one. Staying in Dunoon with my wife over a weekend in early October (hopefully 😅) for a concert. Looks like it's an option for a stroll for us . Cheers.
Well worth a wee drive back up the road John it's a stunning wee place and in october it should look a wee bit better with all the autumn leaves changing colours going to visit again during the winter to see it then :) PS enjoy the concert mate, peter.
Thanks mate it would be well worth a wee day out for you and the family mate it really is beautiful. Waaaay to hot for me to go to the hills at the moment the heat would kill me ha ha. Thanks for watching Stripey and take care mate, peter.
I was looking to photography this in autumn, then you dropped the M bomb, midgies! that's why i was gonna leave it; but it looked so nice and green I might have to get the midgie net out :) thx for the great film.
To be honest the only midges were at the end point were the hill path sign was pretty bad but apart from the none at all. Good idea to go in the autumn Ian and even the winter too lots more water in the burns too it was just trickling at some parts and bone dry in others. I think you and your camera could do some great shots in that time of the year👍
It really is worth a visit Beth even the drive up to it is great as well but i would try and go early as i can imagine it being very busy :) Thanks for watching, peter :)
Beautiful walk this Peter, reminds me of The Fairy Glen on The Black Isle, straight out of Lord of the Rings haha. Two weeks and I'm back North, staying near Kinlochhourn for a week and Fersit for the second week, looking forward to it. Take care. Mick.
Thanks Mick loved that wee walk was beautiful they could have filmed Return of the Jedi there i think lol! Hope the great weather holds up for you in 2 weeks time mate have a good one look forward to any films you make👍 Take care big man, peter :)
Cheers mate aye it really is nice seen footage of it but nothing compared to actually walking right through it. Might head up in the winter to see how it looks then hopefully all covered in snow :) Cheers for watching ma man, peter :)
Same here neve heard about it until a few years ago was surprised at how good it really is just total green in all directions was one of the best glen walks i have had i think :) Yeah go with the kids would be a great wee day out. Thanks Douglas take care mate, peter.
