What I love about paracord crafting is that people seem to always want to craft for others... so many comments mention making one for others and not themselves. This is a very “giving” type of hobby and I love it!
For anyone making these, I use an alternative way of making the ears to hide the melt point. Same as this, but strip the internal cords, use craft pipe cleaners, cut everything to length (pipe cleaners slightly shorter), seal the ends of the cord lightly run the pieces through the sides of the head the same way, melt the ends the same way, then hide the melt point behind the monkey fist cords. Shape ears as desired. :)
Funny thing, I had showed my wife and daughter this a couple weeks ago when someone else presented a finished one. Thanks to you brother for completing a tutorial so that I don't have to sit and try to figure it out.

I Loved it, I believe you should do a tutorial with legs or a feet just how you did the hands. Please don't get me wrong i would love to see something like this. Nothing but positive feedback keep up the great job.
If it's round and you have it, use it. You could even ball up some scrap paper and wrap the cord around it in a pinch. Of course, ball bearings or marbles are the best but use what you've got! Just keep weaving! :)

I was just wondering how you get the ears to not blacken when you’re trying to create the bend. I can get it to melt into the desired shape, but I haven’t been able to master the art of not burning/blackening it while I do so. I try to hold it higher off the heat but it doesn’t get hot enough to be effective. And if I manage to find a spot on the heat where it starts to bend, it blackens right away. Any tips?
So dampening it worked a TINY bit. It still blackened but not as much. But because it was wet, it also took longer to heat which meant I had to hold the flame under it longer. So it’s a tricky dance.

You don't have to use a fid if you don't want to. You can always melt the end of the paracord until, it becomes stiff enough to push through on its own. Kind of like this ruclips.net/video/ZLftnNweiFE/видео.html

Maybe try slightly wetting the cord . Should be fine as long as you dont drench it.

Thanks Susanne! The marble I used is just your standard run of the mill marble. Roughly 15 mm in diameter.
You can also add a bit to the length and tie a diamond knot to use instead of a marble.
when you say standard size marble does that mean a 1" steel bearing? I am looking at the bearing on your amazon page.
No, it's just a regular glass marble, about 0.5" in diameter.
