The Melody Sauce plugin by Eva-beat is a midi generator that does exactly what it says it will do, it makes melodies for you and what I love about it is not only that it works, but also that there are nice parameters you can tweak to get this VST to give you a variety of melodies!

question. chord progression direction. did you go by ear? like going to the 1st chord to the 3rd. or is there a chart or rules we can follow?
I generally go by ear but it's something you can research, there's certain progressions that are common in certain types of music. If you are making a certain kind of music, just google is and see what the progressions tend to be. But I find that going by ear is what works best for me...

Do you know if Melody Sauce is compatible with the MPC Software?
I am not familiar with MPC software but found the following on their website - that it is not supported, but you could also reach out to their customer service to ask -- "Reason, Maschine, MPC & Garageband are not currently supported as they do not allow the routing of MIDI from one VST to another. To enable Melody Sauce to operate fully on these DAWs requires a 3rd party plugin such as Blue Cat’s Patchwork or ImageLine’s Minihost Modular. We hope to add full support for theses DAWs soon."

How to extract and instal this plugin
If you are having issues with your download, I would reach out to the company and hopefully they can help you out. For me, I just downloaded it and used the MAC installer to install it on my computer, and didn't have any issues.
Is there a similar way to route this inside of maschine?
Routing in Maschine is not so easy, you need additional software to be able to do this I believe, Blue Cat Patchwork does the trick. See I have Instachords and Instascale and I knew I should of gotten Scaler
There's a lot to choose from out there...but I can say that I use either Captain Plugins and Scaler in almost every song I create...
