    We love dutch babies here! I do use duck and goose eggs, but I bake them in cast iron pans, so the sides are higher. My recipe I had found was half of your single recipe and I triple that. The extra large skillet and a regular size fit the three perfectly. I need another of the big one.

    I love todays video!! I was slightly sad you didnt show the kitchen sink...😂😂. I think Margie is so pretty. I am sure she warmed up quickly. I do sourdough discard dutch babies in an iron skillet in the oven. Usually with apples in it. We really like them. I love your content and your style. You are doing such a great job with your family and your farm. I am so proud of you Heather. ❤❤ Aunt Beth

    Enjoyable video, thanks for sharing! But your description with Nefarious says it's Tempest with him... It's her younger sister, Stormy. LOL At any rate, I'm sure once Havoc gets over the lush food (and it's no longer "new", he's sure to notice any of the does in heat and you might have another indicator that someone is ready for a boyfriend. I think this is a wonderful arrangement that allows the bucks to have more space to graze and forage and might reduce any aggressive tendencies that we know can happen when they're a little "too cooped up".

    Does the freeze dryer use alot of power, raising your electric bill? I've never heard anyone talk about the cost of running one.

    • @SageandStoneHomestead
      @SageandStoneHomestead  4 месяца назад +1

      It costs about $3 to run a larger batch. The mushrooms take less than a day so it's cheaper for sure. We don't notice any kid of price hike since we are paying to run multiple freezers through summer.

    Thanks for talking about your goat fencing. I was wondering how you managed to keep your fencing so flexible, as goat are absolute escape artists, and it sometimes seems anything but reinforced 15ft concrete walls won't keep them in.
