Love your video! Going on the Koningsdam in May 2025. Our first family cruise in 10 years. My brother and I had a blast on that one trying all possible free restaurants and tasting so much delicious food. We plan to do the same this time.
We were on this ship last Thanksgiving and we did not research all the food options. We missed the great Lido breakfasts because we opted for the room service fruit and eggs. I see now we missed so much! I am strictly gluten free, and I was pleased to see the wide variety of dinner food options in the dining room. Again, we missed all the dinner choices in the Lido Cafe. Now that you have covered a lot of the food info, how about exploring gluten free options? I didn't learn until the last night that there was always gf bread options for every meal.
We will be with you! Look for the white haired guy wearing the white suit like the american chicken guy with the beautiful gal in the upper dining room on Gala night. Say hello!
Thank you so much for posting this video. We will be travelling on this ship next May to Alaska. I’m with you 100% re the creme brûlée. My absolute favourite. I think we’ll have to lose about 15lbs each before we travel to allow for all the scrummy food options😊
I really enjoy your videos and helped us prepare for our cruise. Just got off the HAL Nieuw Amsterdam, Vancouver to San Diego Cruise. Really liked the Lido Buffet, but the hours were very limited, usually closing about 8:30pm. I would like to see them open a few of the stations for longer hours. In the evening, the only choices were pizza or room service. Buffet would open again at 10:30 til midnight.😎
While the food was generally good, we did not like the long linear layout of the buffet. When things got busy it was hard to get service since it was not self serve. Very crowded narrow path. We often just got burgers at the dive-in and found a table.
You know, you are on a cruise and should have some time for patience. After more than a dozen cruises on HA and five on the Koningsdam I never experienced your problem with the Lido. Won't have any problems with so called congestion if you continue to scarf down burgers.
It clearly says in the title "What's Included". Food is always included in your cruise fare. Of course some dining is an upcharge. It didn't say "Free Cruise"-not misleading at all IMO

Awesome!! Have a fantastic cruise!!
Me too. To Alaska
I like how HA serves the buffet food items. Reduces the chances of getting sick due to someone not washing their hands.
My worry is it would be very slow at prime time , and you’d end up “settling” for something else where the island wasn’t busy …could get annoying
Great video. Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Little FYI,at the omelette station they will custom cook eggs for you. E.G. fried eggs any way you like, egg whites only, poached eggs etc.
Great tip!

Glad you enjoyed the videos. Yes longer buffet hours would be a bonus. Thanks for watching!! 🛳️☀️
Nice review thank you.
Very welcome
Did they happen to have a specialty coffee bar in the Lido?
so hungry.
Lol 😂
Actually the food cost you $2,600 each and the cruise is totally free.
🤣 Same goes for free rooms being provided for those who love the casino.

The food is not free! You pay for food when you pay for your cruise. Very misleading title.
