This is probably my favorite book out of the New Ultimate universe. Spider-Man being married and having kids is cool and all, but superhero teams have always been my bread and butter of comics

This is a whole new Ultimate Universe actually. The Maker from 1610 showed up and used time travel to take over this world and shape its history. I'd recommend it.
The best Reed Richards is the worst Reed Richards, THE MAKER! The Maker has established himself as a top 25 SuperVillain in comix. One of Hickman's best contributions to the Marvel Universe

The America Chavez twist was so good and I'm excited to see more of her but honestly this sort of twist? This is classic Cap. Everyone thinks he's all for the US Government and that he's a walking ultra patriotic stereotype but no. He's always been about people. So good.
Wow, I had little to no respect for how idealist Captain America as a character was, but holy shit saving America the person in the ending shot makes it apparent that he's a hero for the people, not just for what perspective he has for America as a nation.
I liked where Captain America sees the eras of what happened & the cameos of other supervillains & hero’s through the era. They brought Ultimate Punisher back and some of the things that happened around the world.
The original ultimate universe was such an edgy clusterfuck for like 70% of its run, especially the Ultimates storyline. Honestly Miles Morales was too good for that world. But this new series is such a far cry from the 2000s Ultimates.
One correction; Cap came to save the U.S.A. And that’s what he was talking about when he said America in the comic, he knew they had a power source in the basement, but he didn’t know her name was America. He asked her what her name was and she told him on the last two pages, that was the twist.
Just a reminder to people about just how important America Chavez is. There is only one of her in the entire multiverse. *One*. The maker should be glad that it was the Ultimates that went to save her, because if 616 Loki had found out, he would have mobilized *every* Avengers team of the 616 and then some to save her.

Batman’s are almost always made of broken men and psychopaths, and Superman’s rouges are usually bruisers who can beat most other heroes 1 on 1. Flashes rogue gallery is just a random noun combined with a title. Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, Mirror Master etc. I get that flashes villains are unified by their code, but they seem to have the least similarities between all 3 sets of rogues.

I still loathe that in over 70 years, we still haven't taken the advice of George Orwell and others, and have continued to use a word to identify any group we identify as evil or against our values. Regardless of the accuracy of its use or, more disturbing, using it to identify anyone or any organization as hateful, without regarding the truth of the label, the intent of those being labeled, and (perhaps the most dire asepct of this) associating all percieved opposition with this label without even considering the MAGNITUDE of their percieved crimes- tossing one person who may simply disagree with a policy the opposition sees as altruistic; and tossing someone who is an actual hateful and violent racist under the same label. How easy would it be for a crowd stirred into violence against bigotry, (or any other words often utilized in the war to free us from free speech) to pour out their wrath on someone, anyone who's humanity has been diluted by the use of a label thrown out too often by those who refuse to understand the views of another, because it is easier to act with hate than it is to understand the view of another and to help peel off the hate upon those who are mislabeled. In the end, it is far easier to absolve oneself of guilt, when the person beneath your feet has endured the crimson stained soles and cracked knuckles of your crusade against misplaced hatred- for the bloody wreck that lies beneath your feet had already abandoned their humanity, and you know this for a fact, because the screaming crowd you just met assured you he was not one of us, so go ahead and remind everyone once more of what this creature was, write it on the only spot you can find, where their flesh isn't coated- label this thing for what they are. The fight isn't done, in fact you hear those who you learned to trust after they made the world safer by taking putting down one more rabid dog, who fight for your righteous cause. You see now that someone is cradling the monster now, kissing the top of his blonde head... poor man, he grieves for one who owes him, for all those years of suffering his kind... our kind, had done. The thing is now surrounded by at least a dozen kids many of whom belong to races other than your own- perhaps the creauture was younger than he looked. Still, better to eliminate evil before it can rise, right? Why do they cry for him, for one of a race that owes them so much? (the same race as your own- the guilt you will never outlive). The black.... no "African American" (we must not use harmful language- it causes more damage than we could ever repair). The African American man has continued to cry something in repition, you weave through the sea of people, in order to better understand this illogical display of compassion. The sylables are distant, but they are becoming clearer. Such sorrow in the man's voice. Yet another sin your pale race must atone for, but you know that you stand apart- because you have told others that they are wrong. Even a sinner can abslove themselves of guilt through making others repent. You laugh at the analogy of a foolish and outdated system, that served no other purpose than to hurt other races. Why did you have to be born with such a hateful hue? It would be so much easier if you didn't have to explain that you aren't like the rest- you fight to bring joy to those who were robbed of it by all those who don't appreciate the guilt they should feel. Regardless of the accuracy of its use or, more disturbing, using it to identify anyone or any organization as hateful, without regarding the truth of the label, the intent of those being labeled, and (perhaps the most dire asepct of this) associating all percieved opposition with this label without even considering the MAGNITUDE of their percieved crimes- tossing one person who may simply disagree with a policy the opposition sees as altruistic; and tossing someone who is an actual hateful and violent racist under the same label. How easy would it be for a crowd stirred into violence against bigotry, (or any other words often utilized in the war to free us from free speech) to pour out their wrath on someone, anyone who's humanity has been diluted by the use of a label thrown out too often by those who refuse to understand the views of another, because it is easier to act with hate than it is to understand the view of another and to help peel off the hate upon those who are mislabeled. In the end, it is far easier to absolve oneself of guilt, when the person beneath your feet has endured the crimson stained soles and cracked knuckles of your crusade against misplaced hatred- for the bloody wreck that lies beneath your feet had already abandoned their humanity, and you know this for a fact, because the screaming crowd you just met assured you he was not one of us, so go ahead and remind everyone once more of what this creature was, write it on the only spot you can find, where their flesh isn't coated- label this thing for what they are. The fight isn't done, in fact you hear those who you learned to trust after they made the world safer by taking putting down one more rabid dog, who fight for your righteous cause. You see now that someone is cradling the monster now, kissing the top of his blonde head... poor man, he grieves for one who owes him, for all those years of suffering his kind... our kind, had done. The thing is now surrounded by at least a dozen kids many of whom belong to races other than your own- perhaps the creauture was younger than he looked. Still, better to eliminate evil before it can rise, right? Why do they cry for him, for one of a race that owes them so much? (the same race as your own- the guilt you will never outlive). The black.... no "African American" (we must not use harmful language- it causes more damage than we could ever repair). The African American man has continued to cry something in repition, you weave through the sea of people, in order to better understand this illogical display of compassion. The sylables are distant, but they are becoming clearer. Such sorrow in the man's voice. Yet another sin your pale race must atone for, but you know that you stand apart- because you have told others that they are wrong. Even a sinner can abslove themselves of guilt through making others repent. You laugh at the analogy of a foolish and outdated system, that served no other purpose than to hurt other races. Why did you have to be born with such a hateful hue? It would be so much easier if you didn't have to explain that you aren't like the rest- you fight to bring joy to those who were robbed of it by all those who don't appreciate the guilt they should feel. Not until every white person is reminded that they are racist, will racism ever end. You wonder how you will explain to this distressed gentleman that he should feel no guilt for his captors... Your thoughts stand as still as the blood frozen in your veins as you finally hear those repeated words, that had reduced to nothing but a whisper. The words fall bitterly from his lips, cracked from the tears that had long dried- as his bloodshot eyes rise to meet yours, the words fall upon your soul with a guilt that no deed could ever absolve. "Jacob... Jacob my son."
