Hey girl! I went through a very similar situation. For whatever reason my baby stopped growing as well. They suspect something was wrong with my placenta but they could not say for sure that was the reason. I had all those extra tests and ultrasounds and it was very stressful. I wanted to experience going into labor naturally and I was told I had to be induced at full term- 37 weeks. You are so right about not having control over the situation. I went through so much guilt and sadness over this time, but I also had to trust my doctors and trust in God that everything was ok. Our baby was born at 37 weeks and was 4 lbs 15 oz, almost 5 lbs! You will most likely have a tiny baby, but they grow so fast, don't worry! By 1 month our babe was up to 7 lbs. I know you are feeling so many emotions and I pray that everything goes well for you and your sweet baby!
Wow!! Thank you so much for sharing 😭💕 it helps to know that I’m not alone and that other babies have been able to make it. I’m so glad your baby is ok 🙌🏼 sending so much love your way!
I was just given this news about my baby. I’m at 34 weeks going on 35. Doctor said I will be induced at 37 or 38 weeks depending on the outcome of my next ultrasound. This comment is so comforting. I’ve been really stressed out about it.
same exact thing happened to me except for the fact that I was not aware (nor did my obgyn) that my placenta had aged until i had to get an emergency c section at 37 weeks. I went to the hospital because i could not feel the baby and ended up having the baby then and there. Thankfully my baby was healthy but was very small 4.6 lbs.
Oh my gosh! I was ready to cry towards the end of the video. That is so scary. I’m SO sorry you are going through this! My heart breaks for you. I’m praying hard for you guys!! Hang in there, Momma. Gods got a plan greater than we could create. I truly cannot imagine being in your shoes! Stay strong. Sending love ❤️
Ugh I’m sorry, Lily! How scary 😭😭 You did nothing wrong babe. You’re such a good mama!! Prayers for you and baby boy that he can cook as long as possible!
I didn’t know I had placenta Insufficiency until my water broke at 36 weeks. I missed my 36 week appointment (pregnancy brain) but I had it rescheduled for the week after My missed appointment. So I went into labor and had him but when he was born he was only 5 pounds and he was really sick. His blood sugars were low and was having small convulsions. He was in the NICU for 1 week. The doctor told me that I had placenta insufficiency and that he wasn’t getting the nutrients from my placenta that he was supposed to get so he stopped growing. My heart was broken. But he was a strong little guy . He’s now 3 and is a wild child. Thank god my water broke.... he was meant to be on this earth. 💚 Good luck to you mama, hope everything went well. 💚
I am 36 weeks and my ultrasound yesterday shows baby isn't growing as she should- 60th percentile to 25th percentile. Non stress test today and blood work tomorrow. More ultrasoundsto following. They suspect this for me too. Its obviously more common than we know and I'm grateful we can get help to our babies even though it's not what we want for them.
Thanks for sharing! That’s so crazy to hear!! I guess it is more common than we know. I would have never known until I made this video. I hope the best for you and your babe. Sending tons of warm thoughts and prayers your way 💕
I never heard of the placental insufficiency before ....I was shocked to get diagnosed with the same ...can anyone share the reason behind the same .Also how can someone take precautions for the next pregnancy to be successful ...
Congratulations!!!! So so happy for you 💕 I bet she’s so beautiful! We’ll definitely try to film an update soon. We’re sharing our day to day on my Instagram @lily_michauds if you want to check it out 😊
Hi girls I M go trough similar situation did Doppler scan having mild plecental insufficiency baby Abdominal circumference remain SME in other Doppler scan
Please keep it coming with the updates. I just subscribed due to being in a similar situation with my second pregnancy. My daughter is 26 weeks but measuring 24 weeks. I have been a high risk pregnancy for about a month and a half and I was just diagnosed with placental insufficiency. I feel for you mama. Thinking of y’all and hoping for the best outcome possible. 💗
Hi girl!! Thank you so much. I pray you have the best rest of your pregnancy. Sending you all the love. I’ll try to film and update soon. We’ve been dealing with a lot lately. We lost our son. But just so you know, and I hope this brings some comfort- not everyone baby has the same outcome 💕 Wishing you and your baby the best!
Hey ladies!!! Getting the exact diagnostic. I am 27 weeks but baby measuring like 25 weeks. I have now to be monitor every 2 weeks. I pray for you all ladies 🙏🏿🙏🏿
@@lulukhadra5150 hi! Sorry for the late reply! Everything turned out okay. Our baby actually turns one in 5 days. We prayed and prayed and at 30 weeks she reached the 15th percentile, and at 36 weeks she reached the 25th. I was induced at 39 weeks just to make sure my placenta wouldn’t give out completely and it was a normal, beautiful birth. Shes almost 1 and you wouldn’t even know how much she fought. She is fierce and a fighter and I’m so thankful she’s here. 💛
Hi lily , am currently going through the similar issue got found out at 28week and now 35 weeks baby smaller that my othwr two but M trusting God for a healthy baby soon , i will probably have CS 3weeks time. pray for me !
Currently going through this. I'm 18 weeks and baby is measuring at 18 weeks. Baby also cleared the anatomy scan. Doctor told me not to worry but I'm still scared
I am in a similar position right now. I’m 27 weeks and my baby stopped growing within the past three weeks. so I had to get two emergency steroid shots for lung maturity yesterday & today. I’m glad they see this now and not later but I have the same nerves about delivering early, having a baby in NICU, etc. my first pregnancy was low risk, no issues, no blood pressure issues, I don’t drink or smoke so I’m still totally lost as well and stressed. They’re testing me for pre eclampsia as well even tho I have no swelling or no high blood pressure either. Smh. I’m hoping he can stay in as long as possible 😔💙 thanks for sharing your story I hope everything turned out well for you and Baby !!
My wife is going with same situation she is 32+ weeks and hypertension, I m just in stress. Don't know what to do, doctor told me to observe baby movements and controll Blood pressure. Rest prayer on God. Do I have to worry mam??
This happened to me as well with our 4th baby, I went in for a regular checkup at 34 weeks and was measuring 2 weeks behind so my OB sent me in to get a ultra sound and turned out I also had placenta insufficiency and was slowly losing fluid. I was admitted and put on bed rest and was given steroid shot for the next two mornings to help with lung development. I had an ultra sound each morning and the 3rd day was told the would be inducing me. My husband was with me when I was getting ready to be induced and when the doctor put the balloon in I ruptured and they found out I was also placenta previa, one of the scariest days in my life I was rushed to emergency csection and delivered a 4lbs15oz baby girl!💞 prayers to you and your baby boy❤🙏
Hey um currently 10 weeks. Last week I had an ultrasound and it says uteroplacental insufficiency.... Um so scared cause um now too much early stage...how my baby grow all those remaining week? Does anyone face such kinds of problem?
Detected with the uteroplacental insufficiency at 13 Weeks. Now I am at 21 weeks pregnant and my baby is doing fine till now. Hope everything goes well with us. Just follow the doctor advise wisely.
My wife had a sign of placenta insufficiency at 20 weeks. Although baby is showing normal blood levels and oxygen reception I am quite concerned about future complications.. What should I do so that we can reduce the complications?
From what I’m being told they will induce me at 38 weeks she’s 10 percentile out of 3 weeks she only grew 2 of those weeks so she’s still slowly growing just not like she should I’m 35 now she’s measuring 33 weeks and 4lb 12oz
Yup, that’s basically what happened to me. It’s so scary, but I’m glad she’ll be full term by the time you have her. So much love and prayers being sent your way!
I hope the birth goes well for you and bubs. I stumbled across your vid while doing my own research as this past week I've been diagnosed with severe IUGR and placental insufficiency (I'm 30 weeks). I got even worse news on Thursday when my specialist advised that my placenta could be shoddy due to a genetic disorder with it and the baby, so I have to wait till next Thursday for a growth scan and amniocentesis (along with monitoring every 2nd day).
They said they are going to do more scans in the last trimester to check on development since that's were my first baby stopped development , my daughter was barely 5 lbs at birth dropped to 4 lbs in the hospital. My 20 week scan isn't till Jan 28th , from that point also they'll check for any concerns. My doctor said basically more scans in the final trimester is the only thing they can do and if I remember correctly they may enduce me early if baby stops developing so maybe a NICU baby :/ my 1st didn't go to NICU so I'm not sure how I feel about that, even though she was tiny she was healthy, she had some minor delays in her first year but other than that and still being a tiny girl she wasn't significantly effected by my insufficient placenta. Hopefully this baby will be just as strong. I hope the best for you and baby!
Back story *I had low birth fluid and baby was almost 3 weeks behind at 39 weeks , which was discovered last minute, I was about to be discharged ! Oh wow!! I’m so glad they checked again. I’m glad your baby girl was healthy and fought hard to be here. I’ll definitely keep this in mind if we decide to try again. Thank you for sharing this with me. It was so helpful 💕

Can I ask if you got any vaccines or a flu shot while pregnant?
No shots. I was going to get the flu shot after my last appointment.
