- Exclusive Remaster for Neudi´s Rock- and Metal-Blog on Facebook: / 238282242895776 - "Born Again" for sure is one of the most underrated Sabbath albums, even it has some fanatic fans (similar to KISS "The Elder"). Maybe the sound of the album might have been a reason too. This rough mix is still not perfect, but it has some aspects that I like more than on the final album incl. the guitarsound. Still these rare files sounded bad, so I tried to restore and remaster them. "Zero The Hero" is one of the most interesting songs of those rough mix-files because the chorus is different along with other details. Enjoy!!

Tony’s guitar never had this high pitched shrieking tone on any other album. It’s a totally unique cutting riff
Yeah and the absolutely filthy effects on the leads cover up some of his shortcomings (whatdya want from a guy who lost his fingertips in a steel mill accident?) Criminally underrated
Tony found the master tapes and the album is going to be remixed and mastered.🤘
The guitar riff is what great white sharks hum to themselves while attacking.

Wore my Black Sabbath Born Again t shirt to an ANTISEEN show and a Thrill Kill Kult concert back in 2000.....high as a 🪁....both nites.
This sounds way better than anything on the actual album of course. The mixing and mastering was destroyed on the album, there's some demos floating around from the Born Again sessions that also sound way better than the record

If the idiot Geizer Butler hadn’t gotten into the mixer, he would have banged his bass to the foreground, then the sound in the original album would have been normal.
What's to be understood here is that this unmixed demo was remastered and done exceptionally well. My hat goes off.
Born Again was a great metal record. Ian was great. Love Sabbaths music. It was all about inspiration. Thank you, 🇬🇧🤘💀

I was the bass player in a cover band and Zero The Hero was one of the songs on our setlist. It's a tough song to play on the bass whereas the guitar player has it easy
Really a kick ass in your face album, the creativity and sound that these guys can produce it's phenomenal. The guitar solos just drops my jaw in amazement, there's some kind of forces in the cosmos that draws this fluidity of music that flows through them. I was 14 when I seen this version of Sabbath at the Cow Palace, Daly City and Ratt opened up for them, back in the day.
I saw this lineup as well, mind-blowing! Quiet Riot warmed up, a joke compared to this stuff

I am amazed. Goose bumps before lyrics. I am obsessed with this combination of Sabbath with Ian. I love deep purple 💜 because of the singers. When the lyrics came in, it was sorry orgasmic. This is ridiculous. If I could hear this on a stereo or super great ....I would be a puddle of human existence that had been liquidated to perfect harmony bliss. Ty fine, sir!!! They all still sound glorious. I saw deep purple 💜 several yrs ago at Blossom with Alice Copper. My legs were jelly.

Nice job! I can finally hear Ian's great vocal delivery. I could use the bass punch out a bit more, but better than what was released in '83.

Best Sabbath album.... love Ozzy and Dio, but this is the heaviest and darkest album, such great riffs, not to mention vocals... wow

Black Sabbath had Ozzy- and rocked. Then Dio- and rocked. Then Ian Gillan- and rocked for this album. Too bad they didn't stay together with Gillan and put out 5 or 6 albums.
