Imagine being able to watch a supernova in person from a few million miles away.. breathtaking, powerful and silent.
At that distance? Instantaneously lethal.
@@elementgermanium I know, but if it was possible it would be amazing.. I have a supercharged imagination so I'm a dreamer
Yea same but the explosion will cause major damge to earth
You’d be absolutely dead too
@@petergriffin383sounds like you're just an idiot
Props to the camera crew out in space for getting this on film. 🙏
Sadly they messed up the audio completely...
Just another fake cgi...will never see real footage...just cgi animations they can show.
This is how far they come in deceiving man...that all needed today is cgi animation...no need to do any more effort than that to deceive.
@@lodewikusjohannesburger3593 you don't get sarcasm do you buddy?
@@ownitg4f588
I do...just my comment....added it to your post.
@@lodewikusjohannesburger3593 they don’t fake anything they give the data to computer artists that can understand what they’re reading, then they make CGI videos of ~95% what really happened
Since what we see in space happened long time ago, and this also happened far far away, this could only mean that this was the first Death Star the rebels blew up.
"Watch this animation of a star going supernova"
Fixed that title for ya
Yes it is. But this is the first one that they had advanced notice -130 days - and watched it go supernova. It's supernova supernova 2020tlf for those that want to look it up. I wonder if hubble saw it!
@@metatechnologist they've changed it lol
@@stemartin6671 right - they run it in reverse which might be confusing. The important part of this whole thing is actually the first 15 seconds which shows that the supernova event is not necessarily linear. And I kind of wonder if this is has not been sped up some. I do know that the final collapse happens in milliseconds and what makes them bright aka a bomb lol. The seconds and minutes before would also be interesting.
@@metatechnologist I was only referring to the original title as it made it sound like they had some actual footage, it's all cool bud
@@stemartin6671 Well you'd think they could have aimed the Hubble at it. Maybe not because they didn't know when it was going supernova.
I am surprised to see that it wasn't a single explosion. Great to see it starting in weakspots and then getting more aggressive
Great video !
This could have already happened to Betelgeuse and the light from the supernova still hasn't made it here.
Rip
this is the worst animation of a supernova though. first, as i said animation. second. a supernova would not look like this, it would look more like a red giant just exploding out of the blue. no pun intended
Che meraviglia poter vedere quello che accade nell'universo
Grazie a voi
to put it nicely "stunning" is overselling it
This video was beyond stunning I cannot believe we were able to get this
@@mrrj44 I think he means the quality of the animation. Anyone with even an ounce of knowledge would know seeing this is amazing
i wish that was the real vid clip
As the song goes supernova goes pop
Lets see the real footage
More details?
Doesn't seem right to me..... the explosion should be virtually instantaneous (like the Deathstar in the remastered version of Star Wars), not starting at one point & work out from there. There's no indication of size either, but I believe it would collapse to a much smaller diameter before exploding. It should also get much brighter as it's collapsing down, kind of how Betelgeuse is showing increases in brightness that lead some scientists to think it will be collapsing and going supernova relatively soon.
Very cool!
In which constellation??
When you accidentally divide by zero:
The star would collapse inward before it exploded, it wouldn't have small surface explosions first either.
Nice job Camara man
Nice job repeating the same unoriginal comment everyone else does with space videos. FFS...
Can we see it in the night sky
Me in hades star waiting for my transport to go to the jump gate when the red star is about to go off:
made in paint?
That is Betelgeuse
Is it real
hades star lore:
wowwwww
why do they keep showing animations.. wanna see the actual
Didn't they show this on the magic school bus?
indeed a stunning animation. spectacular epic amazing astonishing. I love you Chelsea 💕❤️
Was this animated from actual images or a animated simulation? 🤔
lol
They will never show you real images because there are none...fake...all you will ever see is cgi animation...all that is needed today to deceice the masses...cartoons.
@Maryo_Nicle7 2020tlf was witnessed. So they could just release that
@@lodewikusjohannesburger3593 Stay off the drugs. Seriously

And you wake up.
What’s the point of showing it over exposed when people want to see what is going on in terms of kinetics.
We know its Fri...e..z.......
i like how this is all wrong I: the star does not expand it collapses in on it self.
Sephiroth
2020tlf was witnessed. Just show me that
I like seeing animations, contrary to some here, but please make them realistic. The speed doesn't make any sense here. The star seems to rotate really, reeeaaalllllyyy fast.
Dislike: Your change of "camera" position is without scale. .... And reversing the animation doesn't help either. You need to add context.
It’s almost impossible to tell what we’re looking at.
A few comments along with the video would have been really helpful.
Lol
...
Do you guys this is gonna happen to our sun ?
Yup...5 billions years from now but we'll be long gone
@@jerrelljohnson2487 Speak for yourself. I think I’ll make it.
Our sun is too small to go supernova, it will just fade away and the end of it's life.

Flash warning!!!⚠⚠
Ffs!!!!
Animation doesn't even look realistic- Big white flash then sudden supernova. Yeah sure...
I have more problems with the speed of rotation. It's either way too quick, or the explosion of the supernova is way too slow.
