      Just another fake cgi...will never see real footage...just cgi animations they can show.
      This is how far they come in deceiving man...that all needed today is cgi animation...no need to do any more effort than that to deceive.

    Since what we see in space happened long time ago, and this also happened far far away, this could only mean that this was the first Death Star the rebels blew up.

      Yes it is. But this is the first one that they had advanced notice -130 days - and watched it go supernova. It's supernova supernova 2020tlf for those that want to look it up. I wonder if hubble saw it!

      @@stemartin6671 right - they run it in reverse which might be confusing. The important part of this whole thing is actually the first 15 seconds which shows that the supernova event is not necessarily linear. And I kind of wonder if this is has not been sped up some. I do know that the final collapse happens in milliseconds and what makes them bright aka a bomb lol. The seconds and minutes before would also be interesting.

      this is the worst animation of a supernova though. first, as i said animation. second. a supernova would not look like this, it would look more like a red giant just exploding out of the blue. no pun intended

    Doesn't seem right to me..... the explosion should be virtually instantaneous (like the Deathstar in the remastered version of Star Wars), not starting at one point & work out from there. There's no indication of size either, but I believe it would collapse to a much smaller diameter before exploding. It should also get much brighter as it's collapsing down, kind of how Betelgeuse is showing increases in brightness that lead some scientists to think it will be collapsing and going supernova relatively soon.

    I like seeing animations, contrary to some here, but please make them realistic. The speed doesn't make any sense here. The star seems to rotate really, reeeaaalllllyyy fast.
