i bought a brand new scooter and im learning how to ride it, the very next day i dropped it on the side but nothing happened, my mom tried to help me pick it up and grabbed it by the gas handle.. and the thing went flying, thankfully only got a broken mirror a few scratches, and a few bend parts, not too bad tbh.. so lesson learned. if you drop your scooter, turn it off asap

Remember that without a local driver's licence (SIM C), or a motorbike/scooter licence from your home country (NZ) + an international driving permit, you are not legally allowed to drive. The bigger issue is that if you have an accident, your travel insurance will NOT over you. Good luck!

And driving in indonesia is much more dangerous than in your developed home country. You have to check every surroundings, watch parked vehicles on side of the road, keep alert all the time to survive Indonesian roads. Even you will get used to it after driving for some months.

Hi Jackie, nice to know you driving a scooter (in here, we call it Scoopy). But please don't forget to wear helmet and shoes, for your own safety. Once the scooter is on.....the world is yours.....😆

Oh noooo I always wear helmet and shoes, I always think its crazy when people don't do that. I like my brain too much to let it get hurt 😜

Both of your helmets are not on properly. The chin strap needs to be Tight or that helmet is gonna fly off and not help you. That type of helmet is horrible because most accidents involve the chin. You could lose your entire bottom jaw by not wearing a full face helmet. You also don't have Any protection on your body. You should ride with CE rated armored gloves, CE armored jacket, CE armored pants and proper riding shoes that are armored to protect the ankle because many times the ankle gets completely sheered off. All this clothing should be motorcycle certified textiles or thick leather. Otherwise, you are just one step away from Death. It's not worth taking the chance. If both of you continue to ride, get Proper gear.

Ever lived in the tropics LOL I am a biker, so yes I agree but if you wore that in the tropics, you would die from the heat. I use an open faced helmet and a full one. I am glad they had proper helmets as the usual kiddy plastic ones used by many people are so useless.

@@steveth1000 I live in New Orleans where it gets up to 97 in the summer which is about 110 with the heat index and high humidify I know it gets hot but there are plenty of ways to cool your body to adjust for what heat cannot escape through the head. I've had to work in attics most of my life that are over 120 degrees wearing head coverings as a professional heating tech. It's rough, but I'd rather be uncomfortable for a short time on a bike with proper gear that would save my life in a crash.. it's totally worth the trade off.
