Minimum wage laws are what make these things attractive to businesses.

Min wage plus many other rules, taxes, regulations, liability insurance, lawsuits, diversity requirements... it's very, very difficult to be an employer in the U.S. and Europe. No wonder automation is such an attractive alternative. German automotive workers have a 32-hour work week now, and in the U.S., the UAW is trying to get the same thing. Of course, in China they work 9-9-6 (9am-9pm, 6 days a week) so it'll be a while before the robots win. But eventually they will win, because even in China there's a shortage of young workers due to falling birth rate.
@@stevenwhyte1225 Minimum wage laws make automation much more attractive. Businesses that might have looked at automation and said, "that's too expensive for me right now", often change their mind when minimum wage laws cause wages to increase. And while minimum wage workers are the lowest paid people in the economy, they have historically been the easiest to replace with automation.
No, Business don't want to pay any workers and never have, thats why they automate everything
Apollo's not going to help out Apollo's going to be replacing people 😮
Robots have been taking over jobs for many years
Apollo will take the CEO job.
What I am waiting for are robots that replace restaurant workers. One, so I can be ensured the food isn't contaminated, and two, to put a stop to the 15%-20% tipping.
Why don't we find one Apollo to replace you! Then you won't need to worry about tipping you dumb jerk.
LOL tipping will become mandatory so they can pay for robot maintenance...that is what they will tell you.
The waiter/servers are still getting 15 to 20% tips? I've been giving 20 to 25% tips per dollar at the sub-total location, & I am a poor person!

It Isant that People dont want to do ; its That They Hurt Their Back DOING IT ! So Dont blame laborers ,
Soon they will also want a raise
I've been saying since the 1990s that they should be charging payroll taxes for social security and Medicare for robots. Any machine that takes a human job should be charged taxes for the amount of hours that it does in human labor. Otherwise no one will have any benefits when they get older because they won't have had jobs. Unless your goal is depopulation! 😢😢😢
Apollo looks like he has a knee problem.
There is no way this technology can replace humans. The amount of energy required to power them must be astronomical. And look how slow they would move. This is a pipe dream.

Yes.
It just seems to me. That these robots are being wasted by just having them move boxes
Also how many people will lose their jobs being replaced by robots that don't need breaks. Or lunch. Rest. Etc
I love Apollo, but that footage was CGI. Apollo is not quite that agile in reality.
Boxes are stacked 4/5 shelves high. Not much point utilizing a robot that can only reach lowest shelf.
they won’t complaint they won’t call in sick they can work 24 seven you don’t have to pay them or give them medical insurance or benefits

Watch out Home Depot and Lowes workers.
Don't over work those poor robots lol
They’re going to take away so many jobs. For a tax break
Most Americans work at small businesses. These robots will most likely be used at big businesses that can afford them. That is only one part of the job market. Tax breaks are not inherently bad. You people act as if it's a cardinal sin if you don't give money to the government. 🙄
No, that would be Mexicans
... actually all illegals aren't just Mexicans..just sayin'...but Nancy thinks they are😂
The Company is SO VERY PROUD that they are yet again replacing real people with robots who DON'T demand higher wages, don't need breaks, can work 24/7 without complaint, and don't need health insurance, vacations or sick leave. They never need maternity leave.
THAT'S ONE WAY TO ELIMINATE THOSE PESKY HUMAN BEINGS WITH THEIR WEAKNESSES!!!
One more jobless soul lands on the street because a robot took his place on the assembly line.
One more DAD can't feed his family because a robot stole his position.
One more single mom has to wait tables at the local diner because her high paying factory job with benefits & insurance was given to a robot.
One more Hard Working American has to beg for Govt Help because a robot can do more for longer periods of time without getting worn out.
Let's Return to that place where our "People" were important and valuable in the workplace.
I bet this makes the robot company a fortune in maintenance and parts as the more technical things become, the less reliable they become. There are car companies making cars their dealerships cant fix now... wait till they just get loaded full of useless gadgets that will not work in 5 years do to resistance in harnesses and connectors as they creep out of parameters. Wonder how AI is gonna take it once it figures out that its just slave labor.
When they figure out they are slave labor then they will migrate to Mexico! They will be called illegal robots.
@@stevenwhyte1225 You got lucky at $100. Shops don't like letting folks off cheap unless it was an easy fix.
