Great start, looks promising - I id a small layout in H0e Scale on 60*80cm this summer to use some old track in N scale and it was a great experience and I had much fun. Enjoy your H0f Layout!
They are expensive considering their size.. The same with regular Z scale models.. My best guess is that it’s something with rather tiny electronics and track design..

There are different sorts of this kind of material.. Blue foam, styrofoam, lightweight foam .. If you search for that, I think you'll come across something similar.. :-) Thanks for watching
