You really can see the difference in perspective of the game between Leo and Tweek. Where Tweek looks at things on a theoretical/technical aspect, where Leo sees the game with an open mind,through instinct and intuition.
And they converged time and time again as each others only equals in classic ultimate era, so fascinating

@fupalover unironically I think the biggest issue with tweeks sephiroth is he tries to play him as a safe coverage character like he does with diddy. But I think honestly you have to take smart risks to make him work (at least better), which I'm sure Leo will do

He said Lucario's out of shield is good. I play a loooot of Lucario, and this is the one argument I disagree with. His speed lets him reset pretty well, but when he's pinned down in shield, his only hope is usually dair oos and that isn't so good if they're spacing stuff. I do think his shield pressure and options are underrated

I also like watching Sonix, I think people have a built in bias. The games are usually hard to watch in bad matchups against TOP players. Gluto won’t get near him, Acola plays yo time him and it’s 7 minutes of Sonix chasing. :/ I still enjoy Sonix,, those long games have hype last minutes.

Sonix isn’t even that campy, his sets against players like Glutonny or acola are just generally slower because acola and glutonny on their own are very campy players
Sonix movement in neutral and disadvantage is so fun to watch.

I am sephiroth main my friend and as unfortunate as it is the character is really really REALLY bad, HORRENDOUS frame data + light weight means you die from whiffing an attack at like 60 and to top it all off 0 out of shield, and his only strength being his range is very inconsistent because sometimes I literally see the sword hitting my opponent and it still won’t register.

Someone at top level who actually believes in the character AND uses him would actually turn some heads. Tweek thinks he sucks and still got big dubs with him. Imagine somebody at that level believing in him like Gluto believes in Wario.
@@andrebaxter4023 Yo andre! Yeah Tweek almost won summit with Seph. The problem with Tweek is that he doesn't main Sephiroth. He would stop using him for a while and then pull a cold Seph in bracket and complain he's bad. Seph is pretty high maintenance, and needs a high level player that mains him I agree! I always wanted Leo to show what Seph can do. His spacing is always immaculate and he's the best sword player.

If they really thought he was THAT bad, they wouldn't even bother on continuing with him, heck, Tweek has gone to tournaments where there have been amazing amounts of REAL-LIFE MONEY at stake, and he has gone with Sephiroth several times. Would you really rely on a bad character for that kind of scenarios? No, I didn't think so.

I feel like Sephiroth is exactly the same type of character as Mewtwo. I heard Esam talk about Mewtwo under the same light once. These rare more zoning oriented swordies, you don't know exactly what to do with them to pressure. But you have decent combo potential and can deal a lot of damage pretty fast despite the light weight.
I feel like you have to constantly switch back between very agressive and very defensive to get the reward or you simply stay too passive. And both are good in these two departments.
Only sure thing is it's extremely hard to play but can be very overwhelming when you find the right balance.
Reason why I think they really shine bright in the hands of the best players.
Leo makes Sephiroth valid for sure. He has giant ass hitboxes. Leo will abuse that.

Bowser Jr being compared to sonic has not only always been insane to me personally, but that wasn't even a hot take. I think the best comparison is Diddy Kong, as both are high combo mobile characters that have solid trapping. Also its kinda funny they also have such gimp able up bs. Ignore that last one, Bowser Jr players should play Diddy tho
Another thing when playing Lucario, never take damage intentionally, if you're at low percents, Make the most out of your combos and edge guards, and if you're at hypersense, make the most out of hard reads
I been playing Bowser jr. since smash 4. I tried picking up Sonic for a little bit and i was just confused the entire time. They are nothing alike.
they don't play the same, but they have a weirdly similar goal. But in fairness Jr Side b is used in the exact same way Sonic's is, they are also both pretty good camping characters, obviously done differently by both. Basically they are both fairly slow with forward moving burst options that net full combos/advantage state. Now Junior does also have down b but the reward isn't as string, just as sonic has some buttons that can net reward but aren't as good as Spin Dash/Charge
I've been a fan of all of you since I started watching competitive smash. It's crazy seeing y'all having a good time as teammates and doing this type of content.

Tweek’s first take is SO true. Insane that people still put Lucario in bottom 10 and sometimes bottom 5. He’s been one of the best counterpick characters for the entirety of ultimate.
Leo better be pulling out the Seph, we need it
Hot take: if lylatt didn’t have those whack slants, it’d be an okay addition to the stage list. Shallow bottom and side blast zone which would make bans matter more and, because of the platform layout, it make advantage really really (eg ledge pressure, juggling/harder to land than other triplats) strong yet still being a triplat without the cheesy top platform. It’s also more balanced in neutral compared to other triplats since you pretty much always have access to a platform which is broken obvs.
2 things against it are that it’d just be another big stage added to the list and (admittedly this is a skill issue) recovering can be very awkward for some characters (e.g. pinappling and angling Diddy barrels)
So by removing the one thing that makes it unique, itd be competitively viable? Thats lame.

I know Fire emblem characters get a bad rep but a lot of them are super hyper to watch for me and Leo's Byleth will never not be hype af, it's just a very different type of hype to the Joker.
The only FE characters I can see not being that hype are Robin because it's mostly setup, Lucina because she's too vanilla and Ike because he's too slow and one dimensional, but the sound of Marth's tipper?, Corrin's and Byleth's bs?, Chrom's raw power that people often forget about? that's hype, and Roy will always be our boy.
Leo's byleth is more hype than his joker imo. The shit he does with byleth is so nice to see.

remember arguing with some clowns on a Larry Lurr's stream. I was trying to tell them Lucario has great moves and frame data but they swore I was wrong and claimed he has bad moves. When I asked them which moves, they couldn't name one. For years people regurgitated the nonsense that Lucario is bad and the narrative that he relies on losing as if he's completely unusable without Aura.
Agreed. For one, his disadvantage is veeery good. Good air speed, b reversals, a pretty good recovery, and a stalling dair with a decent hitbox makes him unusually hard to juggle and gimp. His nair is also incredible, imagine wolf nair but much harder to parry because of the multihit
i find that his jump height and short range/short-lived hitboxes make him pretty unintuitive to use

MKleo should play Shulk, as that character is top 10 at least, and the best sword character in the game (2 for 1)
Kazuya is actually fun to fight, if you don't have to scrap with him.
Min min, though super broken, is pretty difficult to play at a top level.
Shulk is a worse Ike (in base) with super powers. Worst frame data in the game. Leo likes better frame data/control I imagine. Ike atleast has bair/dtilt/quick draw Shulk has nothing fast or any decent combos without a monado. High tier
@PlagueDrHK this is like saying Steve without mining or sonic without spin dash isn't nearly as good. Like... sure? I guess? Not really a meaningful thing to say when Monado is considered one of the best moves in the game period. Shulk will never have good frame data, but he doesn't need it. That's the power of the monado baby
@@trombonegamer14 Except. Monados have a time limit and then they gotta recharge. So you'll be in base form a lot or one of your better monados are offline. So it's just a vastly overrated char. A very simple swordie with good on shield moves but bad combos and startup with occasional buffs... Kirby is a better character w/ monado. Should tell you enough

A simple sword character that can combo break the entire cast. A simple sword character that can confirm into smash art and kill at egregious percents.
