I just got into MH a month ago, and it took me one mission failure, five total downs, and 48 of 50 minutes to beat the regular Teostra in Rise. Then I look up experienced players and THIS is what I see. I have a lot to learn. ...but sincerely, this is so satisfying to watch and I hope I can get even a fraction of those positioning and timing skills someday
The longsword have this kind of immunity when you counter properly, you don't get damage for a period of time. I only noticed it when I was fighting barioth, I countered but still inside the tornado aoe but not taking any damage.
@@maizconhielo some attacks have only one ''hit'' despite the animation going longer (not all though!!) eg. you can also block Rajang's long thunder-beam then break your block and stand or walk through it while he still blasts it in your face for like 1 second. Other monsters can even hit you multiple times during one animation but I can't say for certain from the top of my head which.

I truly love the Monster Hunter logic of "I got caught right in the middle of a huge explosion but I'm totally fine because I parried it." Awesome run as usual! Teostra and its variants have always been the most troublesome monsters for me so it's very satisfying to watch one get absolutely demolished.
you should see Dual Blade then, forget parrying with a weapon, we just 'evade through' the explosions. The Switch Skill Demon Flight has I-frames during the short jump and launch of the attack till the apex of the height. So I've used the short Jump to evade stuff like Teostra Nova's or projectiles flying at me by literally leaping into them. Helps with Sharpness to do on purpose too due to Iron Silk
Every “Quick Sheathe is the only thing that metter” video, i still feel like it was impossible without armor or defensive skill to support LS. But everytime you doing it still surprise me how the hell you not get hit by that attack 🤔 and repeatedly watch back that exact moment and still feel very impossible. But since it was all about personal skill and monster attack moveknowledge, i think you really a “GOD HUNTER”

These runs are so creative and so much better than speedruns where they just trap and stun lock the monster for 4 entire minutes. Here we can see someone who has actually mastered the fight and doesn't rely on cheap tricks to win
Exactly, I've played a lot of the MH series and for a very long time but I've really only recently dedicated real time into getting into the Zen of using longsword in Sunbreak and when you click with it, it is a magical feeling, one that videos like these represent well. I used to use stun/sleep weapons on my palico and mute in the base game but honestly it's just more fun to keep them up and active like this, it's more of a crazy dance, especially since no weapon uses every single one of it's moves so fluidly and frequently as longsword

Dont know if you are still using this same pc build or not but just to let you know is that you should probably get a stronger cpu so you dont bottleneck your gpu A good cpu choice would be a Ryzen 7 5800x Just some tips so you can get optimal performance
Adrenaline and booster dango gives more damage than many end game builds. Plus he doesn’t do a single mistakes and punish monsters every move. God tier gameplay right here
the real challenge for this type of God player , official need release some hardcore monsters for them . example , totally random attacking timing delayed .all attack animation is totally randomly by 0 to 1s , anti stun lock / para for range , splitfire for multiple player especially all range ,
Whenever i watch peppo...im reminded that im trash at this game. Its still fun dont get me wrong....but im still trash. I failed like 4 times at this one...and peppo just did it naked. Or like the one that peppo killed one without using weapons faster than most people regularly kill it.

FYI, that kill hit is a failed counter, so what OP said is correct.
