    a question - if a truck has a 1999 cat engine in a 2021 peterbilt, would it be a 1939 or 1708?

Excellent Narration dude. It would be helpful for all if you could present a more clear picture for Pin-Outputs.
so that the difference betweeen 6-Pin J1708 and 9-Pin J1939 could be seen. CAN is used in both of them.
Though CAN has its speeds and Types aswell.
    +Thumb

We make that, and yes you can. Keep in mind that there are some differences between regular OBDII, Volvo/Mack OBDII, & CAT in GMC Trucks -- diesellaptops.com/Diesel-Laptops-9-pin-to-Standard-OBDII-Converter-Adapter-DL-OBD2-9.htm
