Can somebody explain to me why is it Team GB? No disrespect, I'm very ignorant of the facts, but from the outside (i'm argentinian) and with all the rivalries going on, if "team gb" has to sing the england national anthem, that's kinda fucked up.

You're being dishonest. Joey Barton stated that commentators should be chosen on merit. He stated that the standard of the men's & women's games are very different and therefore logic suggests that it's unlikely that a female ex-pro would be better qualified as a commentator on men's football than ALL of the male ex-pros who commentate. (And yes, there are male commentators who never played pro. But they have a different role. They're journalists who do lots of research and do most of the talking.) The people criticising Barton and intentionally ignoring what he said are simply trying to cover up unlawful discrimination.

"All press is good press," when it comes to Joey Barton and i am surprised Hayes has even bothered to respond as he is obviously going to carve a living out of being controversial. Men are not afraid of women taking over football as it is never going to happen. Women's professional football is here to stay and i hope it continues to grow but it will never catch up men's football.
