Picked up my OEM rain guard at my local Subaru after months of waiting and used your video to install it! Thank you for the very thorough video. Helped me install in minutes 🎉
couldn't you leave the corners of the weather stripping intact since the clips are more in the middle? I think I'm going to just pull the middle of the stripping out when I do mine and see how it goes, leaving the corners still stuck in. Might be a little less room to get the clips attached, but I don't think it'll add that much more difficulty getting the clips to attach.
I pulled it out that far because its the only way to actually get it out of the way without it going back in and it takes all of 10 seconds to get the corners back in. Best of luck
Ive installed these on every subaru I’ve owned which is 6 in the last 5 years. Always found it easier to get it lined up perfectly and set to just pull the weather stripping down. But everyones entitled to their own opinion.
@@redwoodchronicles thank you for letting me know, opened up my door as the seal didn’t look all the way flush after rolling up the windows. It’s been sitting for about 22 hours now
You saved me 180 in labor. I appreciate this my guy, this was easier then the dealership made it seem for an hour of work and 180 bucks.
Glad it helped you out!! Exactly my goal of this video save homies time and money!!

I put the clips on the car first, and I didn't need to pull off the rubber.

Omg I wish I read comments before I installed mine. Would’ve been so much easier!

Thanks for the install demonstration. Helped to make it much easier on my end. Btw what size are those tires?
Of course wheels are 17x8 tires are 235/45 17
Anyone watching this use these over the WeatherTech deflectors? The WT options seem much easier to install and much cheaper too.
Weathertech makes a solid product. I have them on all my other vehicles. Would have gone with them if they were out when i installed
Where did you find these at? I've been trying to get ahold of the OEM ones for months now
I was able to get them from subie mods. They were all i could find in stock.

There is zero reason to take the rubber weather strip down. It just makes the install harder. The clips can go on with it in place lol.

Is it okay to drive once you install these?

@@redwoodchronicles that’s good to know, was worried that when I opened and closed it once, that I messed up the adhesion process
