"Reminds me of kung fu hustle".
That movie and Shaolin Soccer (both by Stephen Chow) inspired Oda to want to make a live action one piece. Before seeing those movies Oda thought adapting a manga into live action would be impossible, but after watching those movies he started to want to make OPLA a reality.
So funny you would say it reminds you of kung fu hustle. I for one hope they take even more inspiration from kung fu hustle for the next season. Kung fu hustle is even more over the top and crazy compared to OPLA, just like how the manga is over the top and crazy. So OPLA could go even harder with the goofiness and it would still work.
What's coming up for One Piece is gonna make season 1 and Kung Fu Hustle look completely sane and normal. I say that as a compliment.
If you pay attention to Garp, he's literally been giving Luffy multiple opportunities to back out, trying to see if something may sway him from his goal, but in the end, his grandson proves him wrong.

as a longtimer, I was just like the Chopper Girl when I saw Luffy's reaction to his jolly roger (finally) flies. very good adaptation, while hiding that moment as a culmination for his captaincy and the crew that finally formed. anw, been enjoying you guys reaction for whole season!

It appears that Chopper will be in the next season. I wasn’t sure due to his more animated life like style.

not sure if this has been suggested yet but you guys should react to the breathtaking world of one piece. also, if you don't mind seeing some future charters without finding out anything about them, one piece the greatest story ever told is quite a good watch.

How about 2 episodes twice a week so it doesn't take over 10 years and only takes 5 or 6?
I think 2 episode thrice a week and maybe 3 episodes in some important moments. That way you’ll have at least 7 to 15k of views guarantee per video for at least two years. If you blow up in the community you can reach easily 100k per video and 300k for important events in one piece.

I think they use Kung Fu Hustle to convince Oda that One Piece can be adapt into live action.

Luffy is freshly 17 years old when he starts his journey
You can do the math on that one.
Though they don’t tell you Luffy’s age in the LA it is established very early on in the manga/anime, so it’s not a spoiler. I doubt they’ll ever say their ages in the LA and will leave it up to people to relatively figure it out based on the flashbacks, but all 5 East Blue Strawhats are teenagers at this point in the story.
Although I'm not sure that kind of maths quite works in One Piece, if you know what I mean...
