Love my minilogue xd but it is seriously limited from not having 5 or 6 voice polyphony. A four note chord with a different note in the bass is so essential, sad this new model isn't an upgrade.
First of, consider the price. You can make the sound alot bigger through using the knobs. 4 note polyphony may seem like a limitation but it doesnt have to be. Its not a piano. One note could play a "chord" if you designed it well.
If you really want more you can always extend it with another XD to have 8 notes.

What about plans for a prologue replacement? I'd be buying one today if they weren't discontinued....

I dunno. Prologues are about $1,500. A Mono/poly is abut $2,500. Reissue one of them. Make a new Volca. Make a Monologue module. Make a rackmount SQ-10. Update all the Volcas with BT MIDI sync and better sequencers. Make some new Monotrons. Aren't those UV reactive? But the inverted minilogue isn't?
Looks fresh, and with some strategic use of white chroma caps, would really look the part.
I was just thinking how much better it would look with white or light colored knobs myself. Those black plastic ones don't match either the bed or the darker facia.
i wish they would make one with 88 or 61 full size keys! Screw the colors! I have the OG Minilogue xd LOVE IT!

Quick cash grab. Meanwhile, the Wavestate has all those knobs and buttons, yet it lacks the ability to send simple MIDI messages beyond the modKnobs. Not to mention tons of parameters that are assignable in the Native version, that you can't assign in the hardware version. KORG doing KORG things 🤦🏿♂

@@X22GJP actually I am in marketing and this is the same kind of lazy shit I see crap marketing teams do all the time. Korg has hit a wall. I’m hoping Tats’ Berlin team gets more airtime ASAP because, like Roland and Yamaha, the innovative is waning.

What’s wrong with a company making a special edition of one of their products? It looks great and is still a kick ass synthesizer. Not trying to be rude but it seems like you’re acting like the XD isn’t viable as a musical instrument any longer

Can't you turn the voice depth in chord mode to mono?
@@AngMoKio8 idk i don't have one. but when looking at the specs the xd has less voice modes. no mono mode.
Wow so innovating. Bare minimum for a premium price. I will head over to Arturia since they actually do interessting stuff. It's such a shame... i really want to like Korg but this feels like a joke. It looks nice, but for € 300,- extra (from what i've heard) ??? What a ripoff. Atleast Tatsuya Takahashi is still cooking.
