I loved this I have recently lost my husband who followed the Shamanic path and made drums and did workshops to teach birthing a drum so this was very therapeutic for me. Thank you 🙏🏽

26:40 i kinda noticed the reason why especially in certain genres of music there is a consistent pattern l learned a lot I did think of a pattern I could use on a drum kit using the same rhythm you just played .. makes sense to me now that entrainment is happening thanks very informative- Anthony

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. And thank you for sharing that you can't visualize or meditate. I'm a musician who has aphantasia. I also can neither visualize nor meditate.

thank you for your work! Your explanaitions gave me a missing link (-: I did build a frame drum with dear skin and use it mostly intuitively. Feels good to get some knowledge behind it. For journeying in north Europe it's more traditional to use rattles or drums combined with rattles.

Where is a good source to select and purchase a drum?

I recommend finding a music store that sells instruments. Even better if you can find a store that just sells drums/percussion instruments. When you try out a few drums, some will resonate for you better than others.

Not saying that you don’t have ADHD, but your description of your difficulties are fairly normal for most beginning meditators! It can take quite a while, but even the most unruly mind will eventually calm down.
