- Training film to learn the duties of an Obermachinist in Wolfpack. The Obermachinist, or Chief, is the crewman who operates and manages the diesels and all other components in the engine room. When playing as the Chief you will need to master the procedures for diving, surfacing, starting and stopping the diesels, reversing, flooding, and tuning the engines for maximum performance.

Im gonna get this game just to play as the engineer. Its a dream come true. 😊❤
Amazing, this game has gone very far. Mechanics simulations are getting amazing.
That's an insane level of details guys...... i think its going to take two or three guys to manage that in an emergency dive.... Chief and radio operator, it will definitely require crew cooperation and training!!
This is really impressive guys. Well done!
Excellent, thank you.
Great video. Only thing I'm still trying to figure out is how to charge the batteries but I think I got it down now.
That videos is now posted, E-machinst training.
Trim back on the fuel valve when temps are high?
The usual scenario is a lean engine is a hot engine, richer engine mixtures cause lower temps.
For example with Nitro RC cars [which use compression ignition like diesel] leaner mixtures can cause exhaust manifolds to glow and internal components to fuse where as richer mixtures do not.
That's correct, you are right. I think our design is considering the max engine power, not the mix ratio. Good catch!
Thanx. So many "wrong" engineers meat on online session. Now i know the video.
Because i didnt suck enough at this game already, This is now a thing lmao. No way in hell will i remember all this. I cant even navigate on the map!
Seriously though. Cudos to the developers for making this a thing. This is seriously impressive stuff that no other game does. Well done developers.
Super cool. But holy Hell, is he a busy boy. Lol...
Very impressive!
Thank you! Cheers!
This is amazing
Amazing update! Quick question: there is a speed table in the battery room but not in the diesel room. How do i know how much rpm resemble dead slow, half speed, full speed etc.?
Hi Chris, some of the earlier portions of this video are from older builds, but yes, there is a speed chart in the diesel room, as seen @14:29. Thanks!
@@Subsim Oh thank you very much! I totally did not see the chart at first. In my defense: the diesel room is a bit overwhelming and it is pretty easy to miss it :)
Why i can't do it? I don't have this job. I have right version. This is mod or something else?
Can people play as sailors helping officers? Or are there any bots to carry out simple orders? If not, I don't see many players wanting this position or the dive officer's.😂
Yes, you can play either way, with fully auto control through the telegraph or with manual control.
@@Subsim How many players can be on one sub at the same time?
now 7. also in one session there can be up to four submarines with seven players on each @@DanSlotea
