I just came across Search Party on Thursday and I'm almost finished S5 - it is hilarious and addictive! Eldad & Portia are the perfect BFFs.

Whomever is in charge of marketing that show should be fired. I had never heard of it before I stumbled across it the other day,
I've been asking friends & family if they had heard of it and none of them had either. After reading the comments I see that 50% never heard of it & the other 50% love it.
If you've never seen it, do yourself a favour and watch, you won't regret it!

Great! But I keep catching myself counting how many hundreds of times he says "I'm like, and like, he like, she like."
I'm glad he dropped the bit early on (so to speak). It's frustrating when guests do schtick throughout the whole interview (looking at you Will Ferrell).
PS: It's just one sign of progress that a guest can be so campy-funny on a talk show AND openly gay --- unlike the campy-but-closeted celebrities of the 60s and 70s -- not to mention having a straight host so comfortable joking about their "sexual chemistry."

He's right. If straight actors are not 'allowed' to play gay roles...then I never hear the claim that gay actors can't play het role, bec. they can and have for a very long time. You can't support Sean Hayes in "Promises, Promises" and excoriate nominally straight actors for playing gay and call it another form of 'blackface' which I think a renowned gay actor and playwright did at one point. It's acting. Acting is pretending. It's not a documentary.
