    Great video, thanks for sharing! The experimental ones are my favourite. I did something like this 6 months ago and found they gave similar results. If anything I preferred the the carbonate, but maybe I went hotter or for longer. I soon realised that what seemed a simple experiment at first, becomes quite complex once you start considering more variables!

      I have trouble getting hot enough in my big kiln. It's a drama queen, and as a result, I actually fuse around 1450. It takes 4 hours to go from 1225-1450, so I let it get close to 1450, see that everything is fused, and move on. Anymore I just program it that way, knowing it'll take long enough that I'm all good. I think I need to replace the thermocouple.

    Hey thanks again…. I love your videos! Have you ever tried adding a colour to the oxide? Not sure what but is it possible to change the beautiful blue to a shade of green for example? Just thinking outside the box. Gracias amiga.. Kathie from Mexico 👍🐢
