If you watch a version of EXO's "Peter Pan" Performance that included the VCR (Video) footage that plays before they come out on stage you will see why they start the set like that. :D ruclips.net/video/M5Qc25j0ZoI/видео.html There is a whole story that leads into the reason why EXO are dressed like elves and why they are carrying around large tools and utensils, etc. If you haven't seen the intro video, you should rewatch the performance with the "Peter Pan" VCR to see what I mean.
Fun fact: The reason why EXO are throwing candy to the audience during their "Peter Pan" stage is because it was White Day, which is kind of like the male version of Valentine's Day. On Valentine's Day girls usually give treats to the guy they like and confess their affection; on White Day it's in reverse, where the guys give candy to the girls. So EXO are confessing their love to all the EXO-Ls.
Did you notice that for "365" the EXO-M members (Lay, Xiumin, Chen *****and Tao) sang the song in Mandarin and the EXO-K members sang the song in Korean?
During "365" they are throwing plastic balls to the fans. All those balls have the members signatures on them, so they are extra special, and at the end of the concert the fans went around trading them to see if they could get their favorite member's signature.
No one performed like EXO did. Love your reaction. It's great to have seen the portray how hyped I was in front of my friends when I showed them this EXO clip.

Yes, they're sweets cause it's white day or like Valentines day in SK. Usually it's the women who gives it to the guy they like. Of course there's also black day, for single people. Yes those are balls they're throwing, they're autographed.
