Could be just a freak. At chelsea that day the boat sheds were in the water, but I've lived there since the 50s and I remember as a kid this happening back then. I'm not necessarily for the dredging, I just wonder if the Kananook creek has a history of breaking it's banks in a surge and is a natural occurence.
The beach in Mt Eliza where my Mom has lived for the past 6 years has recently begun washing away. It is lined with beach huts, which have obviously been there for a lot longer than the 6 years I've been coming here. No one can tell me that this is a natural occurrence, and I intend to get involved in this from a legal perspective. Those huts are worth lots of dollars...
