I’m from Nama. It’s the closest island to Chuuk lagoon in the Mortlocks region. The way we talk is kinda different. We say _iaii_ (the same, except without the _f_ ) lol
Take Paradise freeway to Hawaii 1st Light turn left, go straight down 3 lights turn left again, go straight again and take exit # 691 to chuuk international Airport. That is the upper Islands route. Please, don't be hesitate to let me know if you rather take the short cut cus am truthfully willing and happy to share everything with you. Thanx Angel :)
Thanks for sharing. We have neighbors that are Chuukese and there is a small Chuukese community here. Our neighbors are great people and I'm trying to learn about Chuuk and the language as well.
Mensa Nota Hi Mensa! That’s great to hear from you! I feel so grateful for your comments since you’re from the same island as my dad. I really appreciate your feedback and support. I hope you’re doing well and staying safe and healthy.
Shakan Killion I appreciate your question 👍 I don’t mind at all. I visited my family on Chuuk when I was 11 or 12, so it was quite some time ago. I, unfortunately, did not speak any Chuukese when I went and it is definitely a regret of mine. That’s a big reason why I’m learning now. I’m a big proponent of changing your life if you’re unhappy with it😀 I’m glad you found the channel and look forward to any feedback or questions you have. Kene nomw!
It’s “Ifani”. But it’s more so used in the faichuukese region... where I assume is where your father was from. “ifa ii” is more common for where is a person or animal. “Ifan” is for things or place. The word “Afani” you mentioned means “pay attention to”
Nick Jack Hi, Great question 👍 In my first video on this channel I explained how my dad is Chuukese and how I’ve always wanted to learn to communicate better with that side of my family. It’s very important to me for my own personal enrichment but also now that I have children, I also want them to get to know their family as well and to speak the language. Do you speak Chuukese?
Brandy Henry Ran annim! I explain more in my “First Word” video but I’m learning Chuukese because my father is Chuukese and I love my family and have always dreamed of communicating with them in Chuukese. I really appreciate your comments 😃👍
Woo you are so cute. Love from pakistan

Kilisou chapur for your comment. Is “irani” from the faichuk region or another region?
@@chuukesemeplease1823 it is " ifaani" not "irani"
Irani means " to use a stick or pole to support something" :)
