What a fascinating video. It was interesting to see the primitive items and the folkart pieces. I appreciate the slow pace of your video, giving us a chance to really look at things. Your purchases were also very interesting, chosen with the eye of an artist. Thanks for this unusual view.
Hi Signe. Thank you for your lovely comment. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed what I filmed which can be attractive only for certain people, I mean not for everyone but definitely for some people who have the same interests😊 Folk art and primitive pieces always makes me smile and excited. I'll try to find more while I'm in Japan. Hopefully they will be more local and unusual! Hope you enjoy other videos as well😉
@retrocatkin-2754 Yes, I'll look at your other videos. I lived in Japan 1979-1983 and didn't get out in the country much. I went to many temple markets and second hand stores in Tokyo and loved them. They were very different from the more humble country markets. At that time there were no thrift stores in Tokyo except for the Salvation Army, which was open on Saturday mornings only.
@Signe-p3m it is interesting to hear that you were in Tokyo and visited those places during those years. Things has been changing constantly and often very quickly especially in Tokyo. Antiques markets must have changed I imagine (I started going to antiques markets about ten years ago), eg. pricing and things you can find, which has been influenced by SNS and internet businesses.
@@istvanbarna1185 Hi Istvan. Thank you for your comment 😊 People use drawers for display or as standing shelves. You can see the first shop in this video also using them for display.
