Actually the process takes time to understand. Just a video is not sufficient. Try to follow vilambit recordings of maestros to understand how they approach. Analyze the swaras
The reality is, in most raagas the position or exact frequencies of swaras are not fixed, I mean they vary with raagas. Honestly speaking, I have learned them just by following my Gurus. Harmonium can never provide the correct frequency. But again if you listen to recordings of maestro, they have used harmoniums in tempered scales, but still they follow the minute deviations of frequencies from the tempered ones, the use of harmonium doesn't sound odd to me actually, although they cant follow the exact frequency required.
Harmonium ke saath na karna behter hain. That's the reason I provide my full class recordings to my students so that they can listen and practice the correct swaras
