The last time I got shit face, I was on my face and everyone had to look at it until all the scabs fell off. That was a long time ago in my younger days. Great Video!!
Is that water heater from Mrs Olson's house the coffee maker LOL! Peter you're doing a wonderful job learning and Mikey you're doing a great job teaching once again I'll tell you all you're a wonderful team and wonderful holidays to y'all and a great 2023 and also bless you Mikey you can quit that sneezing anytime
Mikey i respect you very much due to your knowledge and the way you take pride in doing the job correctly. I just wanted to say, if you're referring to the cat analyzer, CAT85 - Combustion Analyzer HC , fieldpiece says that it Accurately measure O2, CO, CO2, draft pressure. Could be wrong as i haven't used the tool myself but it says it measures it. Always appreciate your videos, keep up the good work boss! Happy hollidays to you and all your guys!
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah guys ! I'm learning a lot right alongside of you Peter !You're doing a great job ! I worked for several years in apartment maintenance and I love to learn about the trades. I'm out of work because of a disability. Keep your fingers crossed that it's not permanent.
@@PipeDoctor Hey Mikey I grew up with steam and those radiators stayed hot for hours. Now I have forced hot water baseboard. I wish I had the radiators my father had were like oval shaped and were really decorative. Made the house piping hot. You're not the wife likes to put all the furniture in front of the baseboards too 🤠 Almost ready to get the hell out of this place and have my weekend God bless man
Why I just watched the whole 45 minutes, I dunno but def learned a lot; oh and I have the tune up boiler guy coming tomorrow; sorry Pipes, you don't cover Jersey but thanks for the entertaining and informational vid.
Thank you for being so thorough in your explanations in all of your videos. I have learned a lot by watching your videos the past few months. It's a breath of fresh air watching a mechanic calmly explain the anatomy of things and how systems operate!
It does co2. I beta tested the unit and also have the 85. As with almost all analyzers, it has a o2 sensor and co sensor. The co2 number is a calculation off the 02 sensor. Happy holiday to you and your family
It filled due to the pressure inside the water heater tank and the tank hot outlet has pressure from the vertical pipe going through the house. So when the feeder called it just took the 60 psi from the domestic/hot water tank and pushed it into the steam boiler that is at a much lower pressure.
Happy Holidays, to my knowledge on most combustion analyzers. CO2 is a calculation off of O2, not an actual sensor. It is why in the days of the old red fluid (for oil), you had to make sure you were on the wright side of the scale with our CO2 since with very high or very low 02 you can have the same CO2. O2 is a much better reading to go with along with CO. Most manufactures that give you a CO2 number to look for also will give you an O2. A package boiler like you are working on here is a 6 to 9% O2, the manufacture must make sure it is not capable of a stable over 400 ppm "Air Free, if you contact Burnham about the Independence 400 ppm is the only number they will give you. Yes, I know industry practices go from 200 ppm down to 50 ppm as allowable (stable) "Air Free". Burnham will also give you an O2 range on the Independence, though neither number is in the manual, just gas pressure readings. Does not matter the efficiency, while the numbers change by level of efficacy of CO and 02 the manufacturer wants to see, it is the O2 and CO numbers that come in to play the most on gas fired equipment.
34:02 Water Heater goes BAMMMMMMMMMMM. Well- your replacing it now!!!!!!!!!!!! Or we can plug the tear and you can wait for it to blow when we aren't here? Then call us and my brother (the Service Pro Rep) can come also.
@@PipeDoctor Thank you Mikey pipes I have to read everything I voice text because I was trying to say learning a lot today from you. It's hard to invest in a new phone right now with my son's school loans God bless Happy Hanukkah and health and happiness to family and you
The fieldpiece cat85 combustion analyzer it does have c02 readings you can check out hvac tech tips youtube video he has one but i still love my testo 320lx Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah
Not better than the new fieldpiece imo check it out I think you will be very impressed! They did right this time. 2 models the one with hydro cycle is best and sensor vault technology
Hello, Peter. Start with power when thinking about the sequence of operation. When the boiler power switch is ON, you are energizing the transformer, which allows the 24VAC power to go to the thermostat, which can send a W1 call to the boiler. If the safeties are all closed and the boiler temp control allows it, the ignition control will ignite the flame by opening the gas valve and providing a spark or hot surface and look for flame proving (unless there is a standing pilot flame like you have in this case) and the boiler begins heating. The circulator pump control can energize the circulator for a call for that zone, and you are off to the races.
hope you service the south jersey area you look like you know your stuff i had a company serviced my steam boiler and the guy wanna to replace my water feeder and other parts when in fact the boiler just need a bit of water so he didn’t know and didn’t charge me it’s crazy how companies are ants to charge and put you in membership plan hate it
Two kinds of boilers, steam like this one or full water boilers which have pumps. Steam boilers need skimmed a few times a year if properly maintained and water boilers you do not want to drain down unless a repair is needed
i have had that noice in a water heater, you need to pop a sink or shower and it goes away. I think air prevents heater from filling up so it boils the water.
Is that something you get through Ferguson? I'm trying to be better with my branding and that seems like a great way to do it. Thanks for all the great videos!@@PipeDoctor

Very good lesson, how a steam boiler works
theres a problem with that light switch if you look back on your video it sparked when you turned it on just pointing that out
I like how you break down all the parts and what's needed for the boiler to fire with Peter. Happy holidays!
Five towns need you right now .. I can’t believe all the flooding ..
@@PipeDoctor yes it was . A lot of homes I get flooded especially the ones off yes or Expressway that leads into Jamaica bay

We have a field piece in the company and it does co2

Mike how did you know it was the expansion tank that caused the leak from the relief valve on the water heater?
Merry Christmas 🎄🎄
Mikey, Inspection due this week
Mikey the hot water tank must have back feed it that's what all the gurgling was it was pushing water back through the cold water line.
Thanks
Great job, Guys!
I like your videos you are extremely helpful. Do you hire plumbing helpers to learn?
it was feeding water from the water heater, thats why it was making that sound
Thanks Mike for the education.
Excellent work
Why didnt you check the chimney? And why not brush and vacuum it's part of maitince? Thanks mike *
