This thing is actually nuts. The fact that it can be buffed with Bloodflame Blade and Flame Grant Me Strength to make the bleed aspect of the weapon even better is wild. Plus it has like an extra 10% native increased jump attack damage, so when paired with the claw talisman it goes crazy. For how early you can get it, and how strong it is, I’d say it’s a serious contender for best overall weapon in the game. That Ash of War does great damage and it can be used as a dodge, giving you great mobility and utility. Also it uses Somber Stones as its upgrade material, meaning that you can upgrade it a bit a quicker. You can run straight to Iji in Liurnia at the start of the game to get Somber Stones 1-4, and then go to the canyon by Aeonia swamp in Caelid for a Somber Stone 5 right at the very beginning of the game. The only combat you have to do is the Bloodhound Knight evergaol to get the Fang, but even then you can summon Blaidd to help you. This weapon can easily carry you through the entire game. I usually pair it with Morgott’s sword if I’m dual wielding until I can get another one in journey 2.

what is even crazier is if you get the mimic summon, you can basically just destroy the boss till they are dead because they also use your incantations so they can use bloodflame blade and any that increase damage along with the bloodhound blades skill
This weapon is so sick. It was the weapon I chose to use during my first playthrough. I immediately thought it seemed OP. You get insane damage with relatively quick attacks, good poise break, good bleed build and a great unique Ash of War. I never tried to min-max before, so I am excited to see how this works out. I am prepping a save for the DLC :) Thanks for the intel! EDIT: I have heard rumors that if you are too high level it will scale back a bit when entering the DLC. I wonder if that will totally screw up the amount of pts one needs to make this build work. Since this is a 150 build.
Funny how i did this build blindly and it turns out to be soo good and the reason that i mained bloodhound fang cause it resembles my favorite weapon farron greatsword from DS3
You can put Golden Vow on a dagger, cast it and swap back to Bloodhounds Fang btw and keep the buff - no need for the spell as a result, though it is slightly weaker (11% compared to 15% damage increase).
@@MasonTarver-z2c 4% difference isnt much. I use the dagger method now that i dont have 25 faith for golden vow incantation and it hits just as hard. Only downside that i can say is the weight of the dagger, just put it on your lightest one. Dagger method is for those who dont already have the necessary stat requirements, or those who dont want to sacrifice a memory slot
I literally smashed Malenia with this build (except for dex, mine was lower), on her 2nd phase me and mimic started to hit her in a syncronized way, so she wasn't able to escape, literally killed her for the first time in my life in less than 5 tries, less than 30s on 2nd phase I believe, wish I was recording, very op! unfortunately I don't have the dlc, so here I come ng+

I’m currently level 144 and I’ve just made it to the Lord of Blood. Played half the game under leveled so doing a bit of rune farming now to catch up in prep for the DLC

I'm 99.9% sure it's electrify armament and you get it by killing a knight patrolling south of the artist shack grace site and giving the book to Brother Corhyn or Miriel.
What does that armour set give? just hit the inner wall of the capital city, and not changed any of my armour. and shard of alexander, and the next one along seem t be end game so more for NG+ (?), the 3rd one i am about to get, and the 4th is early, so got that.
what do you mean Bloodhound step? It is just the combo of the Bloodhound's Finesse. L2 for the main skill that will vault back. R2 for the blink step forward
And where/how do you get the buffs? Weird, the shard of alexander guy is not there (I must have killed him at some point), and I don't have the talisman.
i started playing only a few days ago but as far as I understand strength does great damage, but your attacks and movement are overall slower. Dexterity gives lesser dmg than strenght but your attacks and moves are overall faster. And faith is for magic.
Can't upgrade at grace, need to find an Anvil Or a Smithy, easy find is at the round table hold or just infront of The First Step at that church next to Merchant Kale

Does the armour actually do anything? 30 hours in +9 weapon, but working on the talismans, got 1 so far, one is early game, one mid game, other is late game. so will have to wait for that last one i think

I love my uchigatana but I'm hard pressed to think of a weapon as user-friendly as the Fang.

Strength, dex, vigor and stamina will be the main stats to level up.

Your stats are wrong, Bloodhound's Fang is a quality weapon not Dex. Instead of 29/80 try 55/55.
Incorrect, leaning toward dex (instead of equal str/dex) always nets higher AR.

I'm not the OP, but if you're just using the seal to cast buffs it doesn't matter which one you use. All buffs work exactly the same with any seal.

if you didnt talk to him before redahn, then he is in the arena after the fight gathering corpses. you can kill him there
