I think the stock cut looks pretty good honestly, especially if he adds a bash bar that’s paint matched. I totally agree on the big skirt being kinda meh.

Learning about the "little things" that drivers do to get their rigs dialed in, and how small changes can make big differences in how a car feels on track is always interesting! I like the old bumper but if the new(stock) bumper provides more functionality while still looking pretty good, I call that a good change. Every video you post encourages me to increase my mechanical knowledge, and take on bigger projects with my own car! Thank you for that, I look forward to more!
Honestly, I think the cut bumper and staggered wheels look sick. Someone else mentioned painting some of the rear suspension arms and the jack point. Great idea.
I feel like the rear would look better with the cut bumper with a “shotgun” style exhaust with dual tips. I think the turn up tip it just a little too much with the cut stock bumper.
You should make an adjustable leverage point on your brake handle, that wya you can adjustable the take up and feel depending on how you’re feeling or how tired you are. Closer to the fulcrum will give you more mechanical advantages but make it a longer throw. Switch out those 2 tabs for a slotted units or ones with multiple holes. Honestly you could set up a pivot system that utilizes torque multiplication and keep the larger brake cylinder and give you more throw along with tucking the mechanism away.
Im SOOO happy to see this with a stock/cut bumper. I like the flared look on front lips and skirts, but i feel like when the rear has it, it looks off. Even if it flows with the rest.

Yeah I got one of those booster jumper packs too......they come in very handy and are frickin amazing. ....I also have those holley valve covers on my 6.2 but mine have the oil filler on them.....I don't have no fancy dry sump in a 74 nova.......she is looking good bro!! Nice job dude!!

You should try to cut up your old KBD bumper and use the sides as "spats" on the stock bumper. could give a nice side profile then just taper them up to the bumper cut
i work for amazon flex in florida in an area similar to where you live, we deliver up to 8pm and sometimes till 9pm they could be running late. for the deliveries that dont come in they need to bring the package back to the warehouse by 10am the next day and it should get delivered that day.

i think the key to the bashbar is that its kind of a crumple zone, it has to be weaker than the chassis of the car its mounted on in order to prevent damage on it. hereby you can engineer the bar a lot closer to the strength of the chassis than the plastic part.
Idk haven't finished the video, but if you still need more handbrake travel/power you can move the pivot point for the rod that goes back to the cylinder down. That would give the actual lever more leverage. You might even be able to use the bigger master and change the pivot point, you might get the best of both worlds - short travel, but still being able to easily lock the rears. Just my two cents!
If you find the new master cylinder is too easy with too much throw. Maybe try moving rod pivot at the handle forward. To make the mechanical advantage progressively less and less travel.
You should see if Jeremy From Fasterproms would dyno tune the miata. Fueling with the Terminator should be pretty spot on, but if you haven't touched the timing table you're leaving a lot of power on the table.
The stock rear bumper that you just put on is better. Way better. The rear suspension should be dialed UP a little bit. Next time you’re doing a bunch or work in the rear (shocks etc) and you’re also replacing the bumper-take the old bumper off, then replace rear parts, then put the new (newer/replacement) rear bumper on.
Really like the cut bumper. Makes it look more like a racecar. (Not saying anything was wrong with the "hotboi" look). I think some long rear spats would complete the look, matching the height of the sideskirts.

Yeah the stepped wheel idea is a must. Also, get some silver Steel It paint and spray the rear jack support and redo your roll cage.

Can say, I have driven a car with a dead battery and alternator on one of those jump packs for about 1km. Far better than pushing the car.
