My wife and I couldn't be any happier with our 2021 Kia Sorento. Honestly one of the best Mid-Size SUV's out there. We have the AWD S model and it has so many features! I will say this, if you are looking to get a EX or SX for the navigation, the s trim is equiped with both Android and Apple auto. Therefore, navigation isn't really needed if I'm honest. But to each their own. I can go on and on about it, but ill keep it short and to the point. You will not regret getting this car. It definitely is a eye grabber. Prepare to be looked at while driving it. 😅
I’m 20 and currently have the 21 X-Line SX Prestige. I love it and get stared at all the time. I not no difference except the price between the 21 and 22 as well as the seat memory ( bought 100% on my own before start thinking I had helpful parents )

I was looking to get one of these vehicles, but living in Colombia SA, I am worried about getting it serviced if I get a dud.

I’m a truck and off road suv fan. The usual standard I hold newer SUVs to is generally the 4runner. And this thing looks nice. I know it’s not a hardcore off roader like the 4runner, but this thing looks good and it looks like it can take you up a dirt road to a nice fishing hole. Good on Kia
Aside from the +$40k price tag, there is no other SUV that offers so many features in this segment. This has more equipment than most luxury vehicles. 👌🏽
Guys, I'm a Hyundai guy generally but I also like the Kia Brand, & especially the Sorento. Really like the modern clean lines of this New 2022 Sorento. Has all the tech, safety & ride/handling dynamics one could ever want. Not crazy about the design of those early 70's air vents, but oh well. Rest of the IP, center stack, seats look great. May be my next purchase. Thanks once again guys!
Are the transmission problems on the dual clutch that comes with the turbo engine or on the traditional transmission that comes with the naturally aspirated (non turbo) engine?
Still no HUD or suede headliner, that's the reason I went with the Sante Fe which has both and ambient lighting. Like the styling of the Sorento better, but the features of the Sante Fe.

With all the tech that a fully loaded Sorento comes with, I can't imagine that they would intentionally leave out memory seats. Still looks great. Last year's SX buyers got scammed now that there is the memory seat function and better driver sear comfort. I still find it odd that Kia hasn't added the digital gauge cluster to the Telluride nor Stinger, their two most expensive models.
They’ve made a few questionable decisions. The PHEV models get the dial shifter, yet the SXP has a standard gear stick. And why only allow the lowest trim level to have wireless connectivity to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto? Still, the interiors for the Sorento are far better and more refined than that of the Telluride. What the scallop?
I really liked this model when you reviewed it last year. But now I really really like it lol. Think I might go buy myself one. Excellent opulent features and just looks so sleek sporty and stylish. Love it. Really would like to see the hybrid versions reviewed if made available to you both.
Stay away from the Sorento's! I brought a 2021 Kia Sorento SX X-Line Prestige AWD in January. June 11th, my transmission went out. It's been in the shop since then. Kia didn't give me a loaner or anything. I had to purchase a second vehicle and been going through a hell of a process with Kia. It's a smooth deal until something goes wrong. Currently awaiting the buy back process. Reading different reviews, a lot of the 2021 have had transmission issues. They replaced working on 3rd transmission on my truck.
They are Kia fanboys here and will never say anything negative. Stay away from Kia / Hyundai. Look at the current recalls for all the hybrids going on. They are replacing whole engines.
True story my bought new 2016 Kia Soul suffered catastrophic engine failure at 72,000 miles. I will say though…..Kia did honor their powertrain warranty and they put a remanufactured engine in the vehicle. I ended up trading the car in within 2 weeks of getting it back. I couldn’t in good conscience recommend a Kia product to anyone I know.

The second transmission was missing things off of it. Currently awaiting 3rd transmission. I most definitely don't want it back. They're quick to sell you a vehicle, but dragging their feet with this buy back process. I had to get my attorney General on board and that made them speed up just a little bit. I loved Kia until this. I had a 2019 Kia Optima S before the Sorento. This has just been a mess and a blessing in disguise at the same time.
Your delivery is good, picture quality is excellent and sound is excellent. But your inexperience in shooting video shows, and it doesn't have to. If you pay attention to: reflections in the car paint (the viewer should never, EVER see the camera or person shooting the video) ... AND, SHADOWS - they should never appear in the shot - you'll be glad you did. You have MAJOR potential! You look good on camera and your personality is something people wanna watch. All video shooters avoid reflections and shadows and it's a pain in our asses (LOL!) but it will make you NOT look like you don't know what you're doing. You've GOT this!!! Keep up the good work!

Strictly in terms of looks, exterior styling, this is what the Ford Escape should have evolved into. Ford engineers however decided to phase what used to be a rugged looking SUV into the irrelevant also ran nearly sedan POS SUV they turned it into. I love what Kia has done here. Very, very impressive. Unfortunately where I am in Michigan, it's not easy to get your hands on one of these.
I just got my 2022 hybrid s AWD Friday..... I normally get the top models but shortages make it hard to be picky. I can tell you....I'm so pleased with this purchase. My only complains, the wheels are ugly, there's no place to put your sunglasses up high like in my Silverado and I really dislike the back up beeper sound. So far...that's my only gripes. I can tell you....it rides like a dream, not much road noise, handles well and best of all I'm averaging 33.9 mpg. It's outstanding.
Can you get a bench seat in the second row in the EX or SX trim lines? We currently have a Telluride lease that ends next year and looking to downsize to the Sorrento but need a bench second row as our dog likes to sit between our boys.

About the tax credit, this means you will be paying in full for the vehicle, meaning that you will be taxed on the $44,990 price, not the $38,490. There is no tax credit on the HEV. HEV comes in trims S and EX, while PHEV starts at trim SX and then SX Prestige. HEV has mpg of 39 mpg (37 AWD), PHEV has 35 mpg without any charge (AWD only) and 32 miles electric only (fully charged) and 79 MPGE combined when using both gas and electric.

Does top of the line Sorento has a handbrake? We just got our 2022 Sorento ; but every time we put on park it slide back and forth a little after taking my foot off the brake. Please help?
The Sorento is the best looking of them all.. they really have a way with design. I can pick out things I don't like about every other SUV in its class, I can't find anything I don't like about this one.

When you were talking about the 2022 Kia Sorento. What also was changed from the 2021 Kia Sorento was the rear wiper. 2021 Kia Sorento had the rear wiper on the rear glass. 2022 rear wiper is now inside the rear spoiler.
I like this Sorento. But, the Sorento I want is in South Korea. South Korea has their Sorento SX Prestige hybrid with everything on the vehicle. With 2nd row bench seat without 3rd row.
Man the market place is volatile right now cause of the used car market. I just got a 2022 SX model and it ran me about 48k. Not including gap insurance and other taxes and fees.
I like the car but I feel they still need to realign some features with the trims. For instance to get the updated speakers, you need to go up to a fully loaded model, same as the cooled seats. It’s a nice car but I think you get more bang for your buck with the Sante Fe.

I have a really I suspicion that the lack of memory seats and other small features were due to supply constraints.

Oddly enough, Hyundai/Kia has suffered transmission problems for years now. Their DCTs are as fragile as a glass egg.

When you were talking about the 2022 Kia Sorento. What also was changed from the 2021 Kia Sorento was the rear wiper. 2021 Kia Sorento had the rear wiper on the rear glass. 2022 rear wiper is now inside the rear spoiler.
My 21 has it under the spoiler.
I like this Sorento. But, the Sorento I want is in South Korea. South Korea has their Sorento SX Prestige hybrid with everything on the vehicle. With 2nd row bench seat without 3rd row.
Man the market place is volatile right now cause of the used car market. I just got a 2022 SX model and it ran me about 48k. Not including gap insurance and other taxes and fees.
Just wish there was bench seating, but this is still nice.

I was waiting for that too but he by passed it. Would be nice to turn it into a bed for camping if it does lay flat and is flushed with the third row

I like the car but I feel they still need to realign some features with the trims. For instance to get the updated speakers, you need to go up to a fully loaded model, same as the cooled seats. It’s a nice car but I think you get more bang for your buck with the Sante Fe.
If only they would offer the bench seat with no third row option. It would be perfect for us

@@coreygarcia622 Yep. I’ve had rain sensing wipers since 2016 in my vehicles. And I live in the rainiest state in the US (Louisiana). It rains almost every day. So yes, auto wipers are very very convenient here.
Yep they listened and added the memory seats. I don't see the built in sunshades in the back though which would be nice

The European model and the Korean model has extra features that North America doesn’t get
