    Also enjoying the F3 life locuming in ED here in Bristol! The freedom and financial aspects are incredible. Been thinking of starting a health coaching side job, but hard to imagine if it'll be doable alongside specialty training...

    Thanks for sharing! It was actually very helpful. A video that might be beneficial as well is doing it on how you manage and plan out all the jobs and hobbies.

    This is very inspiring.
    Im an SHO and my interest is in dermatology.
    Can u please recommend any good courses in aesthetics that i can do ?? Im based in oxford.

      I did the Derma Medical course and thought it was great. I chose that one because it gave you the chance to practice on the most number of patients. The Harley Academy one is also meant to be good. Both based in London.

    what was harder , year 1 medicine or year 13?

    • @SarahNicholls
      @SarahNicholls 3 года назад +3

      For me, year 1 of medicine because I did GEM and the first two years are essentially squished into one year! It was more fun than year 13 though

      So sad to hear what you were living on that time and having to actually put food back and the humiliation (potential) of being declined. Please tell me this was well before you started FY1 training?

    • @SarahNicholls
      @SarahNicholls 3 года назад +1

      @@tutamiah6697 thank you! Yes it was a stressful time and I definitely felt ashamed! It was my first year of med school, a lot of it was due to poor planning on my part. So glad to have got through that time and managed to stay at uni. I learnt a lot of life lessons from not having any money!!
