Pity the recent floods have made the water so brown though...I couldn't believe how gross it looked...but there are some lovely views across there at night. This suburb is your tourist hub of Brisbane...apart from the city...so much to do there for sure 👍😁
That's is a fun and exciting tour in Southbank Brisbane... What lovely place to visit and explore... Really love hearing your voice! A well narrated video of yours...
Took a while to see so much in a day, but does give you lots of options depending what you like to do. One of the more popular suburbs of Brisbane. Unfortunately the recent flood had the Brisbane river really brown, hopefully that settles down soon ! Thanks for watching :)
Hi There Reinhold and all the way from Austria - Welcome to my channel :) Thanks for watching my Southbank Video...it's a popular spot to visit in Brisbane.
After it gets cleaned up.after the floods it should be better...then was a lot I couldn't get to on this day of filming. Thanks a bunch for watching 😁👍
LOVED the Nepalese Pagoda Chris. I visited there in 2017, very very cool! Brisbane has so much to offer and South Bank buzzes. Excellent video and will prove very beneficial to visitors there. Oh, but do be careful on the segways 😉🤗
The floods had unfortunately damaged some areas and closed sections like The pagoda, rainforest walk and streets beach and that section of the clean bones promenade... Had to improvise with some older footage and omg... does the river look so bad right now. I hope it settles down soon after the floods. Southbank does have a lot to offer a tourist and so many different things to do... the museum's and gallery's are a nice relief with air con...lol. I have been on the wheel but didn't have time for it this trip.... Yeah right...gotta be careful on the segway...lol😁👍
Looks like there's no end of attractions in Brisbane. That first bridge is very cool. No Ferris Wheel for me, thanks...it's the scariest ride in my opinion. Good to see the transitions worked out. Another nice tour, Chris! WOOP!
You went on a Ferris wheel with your daughter not so long ago...least this one is enclosed...lol. Only used the transition twice in this one...want to see how it was after downloading the edit before know I had to change it...lol.
Wow! The views from the Kurlipa bridge are gorgeous! Hopefully I spelled that right! The Wheel would be fun to ride… if you don’t have a fear of heights 😖 lol. Seems like all big cities have those name signs now. That farmers market looks awesome!
I don't even know if I said the name of that bridge HAHA, but it is a very different looking walking bridge. It's a pity about the Brisbane river water though - Still getting over the flood damage and it looks horrible. I have been on the wheel a few times, but not on this visit. Not as high as like the Singapore one but still pretty good for our small capital city LOL Yeah, it surprising we've only had that sign for a short period, but it's here to stay now...I haven't climbed up it, but seen plenty that have. Most of this area was closed for this filming day because of the floods. I think I liked the markets in redcliffe better, seem to have more options and a little easier to get to with free parking Thanks for watching guys - Hope all is well over there, whats been happening with you ?
Thats exciting, can wait to see what you have :) I've been battling to get content lately, The start of the year has such bad weather around here and so hard to get out filming when it's raining...LOL. We just had another camping trip cancelled this weekend ( that's the second time), but managed to get out for a few hours and editing that clip now :)
@@AquariusTraveller man, you guys have the total opposite problem that we do. Here we’re in constant extreme drought. Although we are having a rainy day today. We are loving it! Hopefully the weather gets better for you soon. Definitely stay safe friend!
It's a usual occurrence at the start of each year...will have to remember that when planning more videos..LOL Stay safe yourself and looking forward to seeing something from you soon :)
Thanks for your QLD videos, I've been writing down some ideas for travelling this week. Side note, did you notice the child threw his shoe up on the Brisbane E sign in the background 🤣
Yeaaa scooters, you know scooting around is one of our fave modes of transportation. I really like that so many of the museums are free to visit 😊 The Pagoda looks so pretty and intricate, I would love to see it in person....along with the tunnel through the flowers. I can never remember how to spell those 😆 Another comprehensive and helpful guide Chris 🙌❤️
scooters are so easy, but a little expensive here unless you use them all the time. A monthly pass would be the best, but we only used it for short time and a bit expensive. Yep, all free here. I think I have been to some museums that charge - Egypt for one comes to mind, but I also think that was because of seeing the Tutankhamun mask. I know I went to Washington ones that were all free, spent a day wandering the streets there. Unfortunately, the floods had the Pagoda section closed off for this visit, so had to use prior photo's.. I'm glad it made it enticing enough with that :) Thanks for watching guys :)
@@AquariusTraveller they really are easy, that is great you can get a monthly pass, I am not sure if that is an option here. Since we own our scooters we haven't looked into it. We would love to see the museums in Egypt some day :) You did a great job with the Pagoda section even though it was closed during your visit!
@@Explorcation more and more people are owning them around here. But as time goes by more accidents happen and more rules are in place. They are great if you don't have too many people around but seen some horrid videos of people getting run over.
From Southbank, there is a ferry that goes near eat street at Northshore (if that's where your trying to get to)... it's about 5 minutes walk from the terminal. 👍

Any questions, feel free to ask :)
We were in Brisbane for the first time this past January (2024). It is one of my favorite world cities and plan/hope to go back in early 2025.
That's awesome and thanks for sharing - Where are you from ?
Looks like so much to do! The city looks so pretty too! Those views with the skyscrapers by the water are awesome!
Pity the recent floods have made the water so brown though...I couldn't believe how gross it looked...but there are some lovely views across there at night.

Is there a bus or train system that goes out to Northshore??
