Thier Style is impeccable. When they start singing, notice how the guitar player really tones it down. Not just for the fact that he was in the company of very anointed people, but also for the sound quality. Professional all the way.
I was born the year they recorded the first song. This group, with Pat playing guitar, is the best. Roy with that good base, Ann and Rose could not be beat.
Thank God for these songs. Chuck Wagon Gospel are very inspiring . Praise the Lord for these beautiful voices. When someone is gifted with such a beautiful talent, we should use it to please God in the profit of others. It is a pleasure to listen them.
I always remember these wonderful singers in the sixties even though I wasn't a Christian I used to enjoy these wonderful singers hope to.sing with you in heaven
I am convinced that this beautiful group was heaven-sent. Just listening to them gives you reason to live a holy life for God... waiting for His glorious appearance.
I have been listening to the CWG for approximately 60 years and this is the very first time I ever learned that they were siblings! I feel sort of stupid! I believe that Anna was married to Jimmy Davis, the one time governor of Louisiana and also a country and gospel singer. Of course Dottie Rambo wrote about a gazillion songs (I think I heard her say that when she reached 2500 she stopped counting) and Governor Davis wanted to record one of her songs so he called her one day. She and her family were somewhere up in Kentucky and the church where the Rambo's were performing did not have a phone and Governor Davis called a house nearby and asked someone to go over and get Dottie because he wanted to talk to her. She had a little while to consider that it was the Governor of Louisiana who was asking to talk to her and she had already decided it was someone pulling a joke on her. She got to the phone and a voice said, "This is Governor Davis" and Dottie responded by saying, "Yes, and I'm the Queen of England". It took him a few minutes to convince her that he was who he said he was and that he was calling because he wanted to record one of her songs. My idea of heaven would be to spend about the first 10,000 years or so listening to gospel music by the Rambo's and Jimmy Davis and The Chuck Wagon Gang and Vestal Goodman ,etc. I guess it's fairly obvious I am a huge fan of good old southern gospel.
It is so good to see my all time favorite gospel group performing LIVE and singing these songs that I grew up listening to.I had the old 78 records for years, now I have the tapes etc and listen to them all the time.No one can sing Alto and Soprano like Anna and Rose and Roy with that voice, simply marvelous
I am getting ready to turn 77 next month and I grew up listen to the chuck wagon gang and when they started singing here it was a definete sound you can not mistake
I was there that weekend. I was priviledged to be a close friend and supporter of the Chuck Wagon Gang and when Rose and Anna were present it was like being around Royalty...albeit very down-to-earth and sweet, kind royalty!

Love the chuck wagon gang: I love to hear then sing the song “A beautiful life”. My question is this: Over the years how many people have sang in this group?in the history of this group of people: my question is how many people has been in the singing group over the years
Pat had always admired the CWG. It was a dream of his to sing with them. We were married July 1, 1958, Our honey moon trip was a singing trip. Pat passed away about 16 years ago. We had been divorced for several years. Never losing contact and it was our desire to remarry. We did not unfortunately have the opportunity. We would have been married 63 this year. We had 2 sons ..Pat and Armon and sister Elaine. Three granddaughters and one grandson..4 great granddaughters. Pat did not get to meet his great granddaughters who he would have adored.
Rockin Ed, a box set of the original Chuck Wagon Gang is in the works as I type this...it has been delayed but is scheduled to be out in November , 2014. Covers the years 1936 to 1955. With a hardcover companion book.
Yes, I am just as anxious as anyone to escape this world and go home to paradise; but what about our lost love ones. Jesus is coming soon. This scares me; for there are so many deceived. There are so many lost, who don't even know that they are lost. There are so many going to destruction; so many on their way to hell unless they repent and accept Jesus as their Lord and savior; but they don't even know that they sin, that they fall short of God's glory. (see John 3:16) They don't even know that they need the savior. They are so deceived. There is so much to do. So Lord would you tarry longer? so we can go to war against Satan, the great deceiver. We have so much to do. So Lord, let us get busy trying to get the truth to the deceived, to the lost, to the perishing. So Lord would you tarry longer Because You are long-suffering toward us and would that none should perish? (see II Peter 3:9) So let us not tarry; Let us get busy helping the Lord rescue the perishing. So Lord, as we tarry not; would you tarry longer?
One thing the song says Jesus will set you free “HOWEVER THE BIBLE SAYS JESUS WILL MAKE YOU FREE BIG HUGE DIFFERENCE” when Jesus makes you free you are free indeed, remember he will MAKE you free I love my savior Jesus my lord my GOD and my everything
You might be behind prison bars, but even when you are free from those bars; you will never be free from the bars of sin that hold you captive; You will never be free from the bars of guilt that tares your heart apart: Till you let Jesus take your sinful past; take your guilt that tares you apart; take your broken heart and nail them to the cross. When you let Jesus take your sinful past; take your guilt that tarers you apart; take your broken heart and nail them to the cross: then you will be free, free indeed: though you may still be behind those bars of steel; your heart and mind will be set free from the guilt that tares your heart apart; from those bars of sin and its torment. "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) "The wages of sin is death" Sin has a death sentence. This is law. This is what I deserved. "But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." That is a free gift: we can't buy it, or earn it. It is totally and completely free. Jesus pardoned me: that is grace; unmerited, undeserved favor. He set me free from the death penalty. And He will do the same for you.

My all time favorite singers! How their music has blessed my soul.
The greatest quartet of all time: Sincere, old-timey straight singing with no hysterics and silliness. I love the Chuck Wagon Gang.

Love the chuckwagon gang I have some of ur old records that my mom gave to me before she passed away
Back in 60's got first transistor radio. Did a lot of late night DXing as early teen. Heard a lot of CWG and loved every minute of the happy harmony.
I grew up in the 50's-60's with The Chuck Wagon Gang and Blackwood Brothers in the 60's, as well. I still have some of their records.
Great singing the Best.
When they all came out together 😍
I have been to their concerts since the mid 90s and have had the opportunity to be a part of booking them 4times (this group)
Anna was my inspiration for alto. Best one ever ❤
No one can ever sing "Lord lead Me On" like Anna could.
Real great music
love em.
Roy is one of my all time favorites!
I have that book. You're definitely a legend. That alto Anna ❤
