- We've been a little quiet on the channel recently, so thought we should give you a quick update on what we've been up to, and when the new season of Curator's Corner starts. BTW it's next week

To be honest, I thought that was probably the case but didn't know for sure, so I checked - he got his PhD either at Birmingham or Chicago

I watch all the videos on the channel. For those of us who live in countries far from the museum, it is a gift to be able to learn about some of its pieces.
Finkel is, of course, a star, but he's hardly your only one. All of the curators I've seen are the most delightful nutballs. I can hardly wait for the ones I haven't seen yet.

Can someone tell me why the Roman licking dog hoard has not been on public show in Bristol Museum, and they have had it stuck in a back room since 2019 ,yet this hoard is a significant find for the UK?

It's a wrinkle without Finkle. Love him. By the way, don't worry about algorithms. What you do is fairly niche, but also broad topically. It takes a pretty worldly mind (or at least curious) to consider watching every episode. I had no idea that it had been 8 years, so I'll need to check out the home page for missed episodes. Any episodes of Curators Cornered upcoming? We've only been waiting 20 months for episode 5. As much as I found the hieroglyph more interesting than the firedog we've yet to see if any winning curator can produce something more interesting for round 2 once we've had a decent round 1.

I would love to see more coverage of jewels, of the mechanical fantasy machines, artworks from various cultures, and conservation activities. Also, how are various pieces selected over others either for acquisition or display. Love to see how things are made too.

Splosh - it's a 90% less plastic use company that does refillable cleaning products. Pretty sure they only have 1 kind of shampoo though

I’m sorry to be the one to break this to you, Theo. But you seem to have become trapped in some kind of temporal anomaly and appear to be under the impression that it is 1967. Please do not be alarmed by this, it happens to the best of us. I once spent several days in the early nineties convinced that I was a medieval Knight. It was only after a disastrous evening at the Ivy restaurant with Terry Pratchett, which I won’t go into (but suffice to say he never looked a breadstick in the same way again) that I was brought back to my senses and came to conclusion that sometimes people have different haircuts from me. All the best to you in this difficult time.
