I’ve had so many Bramley apples over the years and never even knew they were so local!! Wow 😮 Minster always looks amazing! The weather was brilliant wasn’t it! Oooh bagpuss! I’ve watch all the way through and loved the history as you walked around. Love the gardens of the ruins! Thanks so much for the tour!

You should take the time to visit and do the trail or just go take a picnic and walk the park! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!

Interesting walk with amazing buildings along the way. Being from the US, I have not had this variety of apple before.

Hi 👋 yes its a very historic old Market town. With the Minster the centre piece of this place. We have so much history in the areawhich im going to make more uploads on during free time. The Bramley variety is now the most important cooking apple in England and Wales! Definitely more exclusive although some farms in the USA do grow them! If you ever return to the UK you must try a bramley apple pie!

The best cooking apple ever bred, the flavour is unbeatable in pies and crumbles. This has been such a beautiful walk, the Palace Gardens were amazingly quiet, the Minster is stunning 😊 36:26

Couldn't agree more! I think its the best apple! Amazed that our American and Canadian friends don't really have this apple!

@RaymondoLeeTravel Maybe the climate doesn't suit it there, the winters would probably be too much.

@A.L.Gardner very true Anne. I did read that several farms are producing in America and they are beginning to take off in Canada but I assume Canada as imports

Beautiful area and village. I’m surprised you got so close to the chopper. I love it when good industrial buildings get retired to domestic use. That Southwell walk is a real local amenity: brilliant! Bramley apple tarts are the real business aren’t they? I can almost feel the heat building up. Getting a bit uncomfortable up this neck of the woods and the pollen is giving my daughter and me a hard time. Flowers are fine , grass heads are awful. I would thoroughly enjoy that walk. Thanks for sharing it Raymondo and family.

Yes the helicopter was just sitting in the field like that. Nobody around it! Yes the mill was converted into a few flats! Very cool usage! you suffer from Hayfever then! Thanks for watching the walk. Hope you enjoyed it. I'm tempted to even go back and film more from the town

We enjoyed this, Southwell is beautiful and you are right it would be a wonderful place to live. We had heard about Bramley apples coming from there as it was on Bargain Hunt a while back. Watching this has made Dave fancy some apple crumble and ice cream. Great video with interesting information. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️

I fancy some apple pie or crumble but can't swallow crumble right now. It's like.my favourite pudding. Ic cream, cream or custard 😋. I keep looking at homes but all way to expensive. When we are older and want to downsize we may look again. Thanks for watching and have a great upcoming weekend Dawn and Dave!

I think I'm going to get a Bagpuss for my dash in the campervan lol. I've only heard of Southwell cos hasn't it got a horse racing track? My Mom and Dad used to like horse racing. Tesco do gluten free apple pies and I'm sure they are Bramley apple pies. Bloody lovely.😋 Looks like a nice place to visit.
