There are two things I really liked about this video. The way you share your faith, reminding us to be content with where God has us in life, and also I love how you allow Layla to just be herself. You share your real life and feelings with us and I love that about your channel.
Bless Layla's heart missing Ka-Ka but just love that at 2 she knows her aunt's and uncles. Soooo good to see your fam Carlin all in costume showing the Bates love for each other. Y'all are blessed beyond measure to have Stewart and Bates fams to help you raise your babies!!!! God will provide a house in His perfect timing. We are all praying for y'all.
I feel this in my soul. We’d been house hunting for a while and nothing was popping up (we’re limited to a small area for family/school). We found what we thought was the perfect house, made a full price offer, but because our house hadn’t listed yet they rejected it. Our house went under contract after our first open house weekend and the panic set in. We find another house, make an offer and lose it due to shady realtor dealings. Fast forward 6 weeks of literally not a single house to buy and a close family member says “do you want to buy this house?” Which so happened to be our dream! I believe wholeheartedly that the houses we “lost” weren’t just a coincidence and that God was at work. I pray your friends, and you of course, have the same experience.
Yes! I think the same thing will happen in their situations as well. Love your testimony.

Haha! I watched The Webster Family yesterday, and it showed what you guys were. So funny! You guys and John and Alyssa were with you guys all the time in their video. Love how you guys have that family reunion every year. Layla is so cute! On Bringing up Bates I Love you Day was my favorite episode. Love you guys!

God just spoke to me through the two of you. I am anticipating getting a house in a new 55+ community someday but right now I am living with my Dad since my Mom passed on Christmas Day. Although I miss having my own space and my own things I need to find with where I am right now.

I love you all so much! I remember going to a revival one time and the pastor had the church members sign up to pray on the days that they wanted to pray pre-revival. I remember when the preacher came to preach the revival he said, “That was very good that you all prayed as much as you did, but “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”James 5:16.
It only takes that one person and of course only in God timing! He’s faithful!

Thank you for your openness about your feelings on finding a home and the uncertainty of it all. I really needed to hear again about being content where you are and that it’s all in Gods timing. My husband and I have been looking for a home as well and have been becoming more and more discouraged. I will be praying for your family that it all works out, you guys are an amazing role model for your family and the outside world.

I have never related to anything more! We are in the process of buying our first home. We have 3 kids in a small 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom home with very little storage space. Carlin, I am with you! We do not have a dishwasher, and this is the first time in my life that I have not had one. Anyways, our closing keeps getting pushed back and it has been one thing after another. I’m a teacher and my goal was to have everything moved in and ready to go while we are on Spring Break. The clock keeps ticking, and I get more anxious. I have to remind myself that it’s God’s timing and not mine. Praying for you guys! It’s a difficult spot to be in, but I keep remembering the Elevation Worship lyrics, “I will be content in every circumstance.”
Also, it broke my heart when Layla wanted to go with Katie. It’s so hard being away from family! 💕

Carlin what you are saying is so true- like Paul told us “ be content in whatever state I am in. As parents it is so easy to do that with our children. I can’t wait until they set up, crawl, walk, their first words, when they say full sentences- also wonder what our second child will be. Before long we have rushed through 18 years & they are leaving for college. We should slow down & live each minute of their lives! Looking back you may be happy that all four of you were together in a small space! Blessings! 💜
